Dok di perusahaan galangan kapal memiliki potensi bahaya akibat kegagalan pada ganjal kapal. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan kerusakan kapal dan kecelakaan pada pekerjaan perbaikan dan pemeliharaan kapal karena seluruh berat kapal sepenuhnya bertumpu pada ganjal tersebut. Salah satu penyebab kegagalan ganjal kapal adalah kesalahan dalam pemilihan material yang digunakan sehingga tidak kuat menopang beban kapal yang ada diatasnya. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan rekomendasi kayu ganjal kapal untuk dok pada galangan kapal. Rekomendasi dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan kayu yang digunakan saat ini dengan kayu yang memiliki kelas kuat diatasnya menurut PKKI 1961 dan melakukan komparasi dengan SNI 7973-2013 tentang spesifikasi desain untuk konstruksi kayu, untuk mengetahui nilai sifat mekanik dari masing-masing kayu. Nilai sifat mekanik digunakan sebagai material properti untuk simulasi pembebanan menggunakan software Ansys. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai von mises stress, total deformasi dan faktor keamanan. Berdasarkan hasil komparasi kelas kuat kayu pada PKKI 1961 dengan SNI 7973-2013 serta simulasi pembebanan Ansys dapat disimpulkan bahwa rekomendasi jenis kayu secara berurutan dari yang paling kuat dan aman untuk material ganjal kapal adalah kayu ulin, bangkirai, meranti dan trembesi.
Determination of hazard identification and risk assessment on the company can not be separated from the calculation of the cost budget. The aim is to provide recommendations and calculate the profit rate using the Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA) method so that the company will more easily determine the most appropriate and needed alternative in the company. From the incremental analysis calculation, an alternative solution and value obtained from BCA are gas detector H2S B / C ratio 1.14, crane certification B / C ratio 3.66, welding helmet B / C ratio value 5.53, wire rope B / C ratio value of 5.19, O2 detector value of B / C ratio 6.11, small handtruck value of B / C ratio 18.1, fire dry chemical powder B / C ratio value of 22.27, N2 gas detector value of ratio B / C 1.53.
Phosphoric acid production companies have a lot of potential hazards that can lead to work accidents. The preventive actions taken by the company is by establishing an SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) division and appointing a safety representative. Based on the results of the safety patrol record, it turns out that there are still a lot of unsafe actions and unsafe conditions that occur and the value of the frequency rate in 2021 is worth 0.23. This study aims to determine the influence of safety management practices on safety performance mediated by the safety knowledge on 40 safety representatives. The method used to analyze the relationship between variables is PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling). The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between safety management practices on safety performance with a p-value of 0.018. In addition, safety management practices also have a positive and significant impact on safety performance mediated by safety knowledge with a p-value of 0.004 and a VAF value of 49,59%. Recommendations that can be given are in the form of implementing safety training, installing safety signs in the workplace, updating and socializing standard operating procedures for work and implementing safety talk and safety briefing.
Industry revolution 4.0 era provides opportunities as well as threats for the students and alumni graduated from vocational education. Man roles are gradually taken by automatic machines. Consequently, unemployment is increasing. This certainly will contribute to the either local or national problems. Therefore, vocational education students have to intensify their learning achievements. This study discusses the learning achievements of the male and female students at the Shipbuiding Institute of Polytechnic Surabaya (PPNS) and Medan State Polytechnic (Polmed). The analysis of learning achievements in this study used the documentation data of the GPA in scale 4, taking the whole population either male (M) or female (F) in the academic year 2015/2016, 2016/2017, and 2017/2018. In the last three years, total PPNS’s graduates are 1959 (1418 male, 541 female) and Polmed’s are 5938 (2821 male, 3117 female). Based on the descriptive quantitative analysis, the average of learning achievements at PPNS shows that accumulated GPA of the female students’ is 3.39 > male students’ 3.28. While at Polmed, it is GPA of female students’ is 3.27 > male students’ 3.14. Total of students is still gender imbalance referring to the graduates data in year 2018 for PPNS’ Welding Study Program in which having only two female students with average GPA 3.41 and 53 students with average GPA 3.15, meanwhile at Polmed, the total students with largest gap in gender occured at the Mechanical Engineering Study Program with total of male students 240 (average GPA 3.10) and female students only 11 (average GPA 3.20). This result indicates that in these two vocational educational institutions, e.i. PPNS and Polmed, the learning achievement of female students is betterand more competitivable than the other

The Precedence Diagram Method is the method used to create network planning especially project scheduling. This research will examine how to plan the proper project scheduling of Pressure Vessel project of PT Wika Technip which is done by PT. Barata Indonesia by using PDM.The results obtained from the cost calculation at 252 days of project life have total project cost of Rp.6.131.093.885,00 and at project age 243 days total project cost is Rp.6.236.994.056,00. In this case it is known that there is an increase in total cost of Rp.105.900.171,00 and the time difference of 9 days when the acceleration is done on the project duration from 252 days to 243 days.
