Public spaces are gradually being perceived crucial for improving urban activity, and for creating partnership opportunities. However, profit-sharing usage of such spaces is limited due to lack of understanding and law restrictions, especially for food truck owners. This research paper aims to clarify the current potentials and challenges of food truck business in public spaces. The followings became apparent: 1) Among the food truck stalls found within the metropolitan area, different space usages were conceived. 2) Two food truck business types were identified, as well as their challenges in public space management. By considering the above, this paper will aim to encourage the usage and management of public space by food truck vendors.
