REFLEXIONES EN TORNO A LOS CANONES 212 § 3 Y 218 DEL CIC 1983 INTR OD UCC I O NSi bien el Código de Derecho Canónico, promulgado en 1983, también introduce oficialmente varias ideas del Vaticano II en la estructura eclesiástica, cabe señalar que la organización total de esta Iglesia sigue siendo bastante rígida, teniendo como característica, entre otras cosas, una concentración no despreciable de poder. En esta contribución aclararé brevemente este dato, y luego pasaré a analizar las implicaciones que esto tiene para la responsabilidad relativamente autónoma de los fieles. Además, reseñaré concretamente el efecto de este principio en el ámbito de la libertad de expresión y de las posibilidades que se ofrecen al estudioso para la libre investigación. En este aspecto, se centrará la atención principalmente en torno a la cuestión de saber qué posibilidades ofrece el actual Código sin que esto desemboque en conflictos. Por último, también se analizará brevemente la forma en que un fiel puede reaccionar en el caso de chocar, a pesar de todo, con la jerarquía eclesiástica.La temática está tratada desde un ángulo jurídico. A primera vista esto no resulta sorprendente, al menos cuando el objetivo se centra en escribir una contribución de derecho canónico. Sin embargo, un examen más detallado permite darse cuenta de que la tarea del legislador eclesiástico llega más lejos que la mera promulgación de reglas jurídicas.
