Video is a common media to use in teaching English in the past few years. English learning video can be an external factor that influence students’ motivation in studying English. English learning video that was designed by involving students as the actors predicted to have some common sense of belonging. Related to the purpose of the research, the result showed the students were motivated even more by learning English in a class using the video they are involved. Focusing on research methodology, descriptive quantitative research was applied to get the purpose of the research. The result in this study was represented in descriptive percentage.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptions of teachers andstudents in Islamic Junior High School about duration, their involvement inthe video (cast), format and post-video watch activities of English supplementary videos to ensure the videos that will be made are effective. Using a descriptive quantitative method, this study reveals that video is a fun learning tool to study English, so that the students don’t mind if the video duration is more than 15 minutes. About the cast, the students inclined to be involved in producing the video. About the format, the majority chooses the drama method with Bahasa subtitled. About the post-video watch activities, they prefer to do a writing rather than a speaking activity. During the video playing, they didn’t taking a note or observing the whole plot yet, so that they wish the video can be replayed outside the class,just like on television or youtube
Parents, especially mothers are responsible for instilling the value of religious and social life in children, including adolescents through proper parenting. However, many parents choose to entrust the child completely to the school because it is busy with their work. This study aims to explain the parenting of working parents in instilling religious attitudes and respectful attitudes in adolescents, explain the factors that influence parenting, and explain the obstacles and solutions parents work in foster care. This study is a qualitative descriptive field study involving ten working parents. This research data is obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study found that the parenting used by sources is democratic parenting. Trust factors, comparison of parenting models, child gender, parental behavior, and character of children are factors that influence parenting in instilling religious attitudes and respectful attitudes in adolescents. In addition, there are obstacles in applying parenting, such as limited time together between parents and children because parents are busy working, child characters, mobile phones, child association, and social media. The solution in overcoming these obstacles is to be a good role model, make the best use of time to get to know the child's friendship environment, not only be a parent but can be a good friend and listener, and have to check the child’s phone.
This study aims to find out how much influence public service video ads have on zakat awareness. A total of 200 Muslim respondents from Central Java and Yogyakarta. The research method used is linear regression, which is processed with the help of SPSS 16.00 statistics. In addition to the study, a response was also made to the video on public service advertisements and a description of the awareness of the people of Central Java and Yogyakarta. From the findings, it was found that 19.2% of zakat awareness increased after watching a public service advertisement video. Positive findings are expected to be the light of the people of Central Java and Yogyakarta to immediately pay zakat. The amil zakat institution is also expected to be helped in terms of increasing the zakat conscious movement through mass media facilities
