O estudo envolveu reclusos provisórios de delegacias de polícia de Curitiba, estado do Paraná, Brasil, uma masculina e outra feminina, com a finalidade de explorar diferenças entre gêneros e auxiliar em estratégias para incluir essa questão na abordagem dessa população na Atenção Básica (AB). Foi um estudo qualitativo baseado em observação participante, com diário de campo e 26 entrevista abertas audiogravadas (13 masculinas e 13 femininas), transcritas e analisadas pela fenomenologia hermenêutica de Ricoeur. O ambiente feminino era mais acolhedor, e a percepção de saúde-doença assumiu um caráter mais restrito ao biológico para os homens, enquanto para as mulheres teve conceitos ampliados. As mulheres sentiam falta da independência para buscar atendimento médico, pois frequentemente iam à Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) antes de serem presas, diferentemente dos homens. Ambiente, controle, relações e percepção do processo saúde-doença tiveram diferenças entre os gêneros.
Existe uma grande quantidade de pessoas privadas de liberdade em delegacias, e a Atenção Básica (AB) constitui a porta de entrada para os cuidados em saúde dessa população. Esta pesquisa envolveu reclusos e reclusas de duas delegacias de polícia – uma com população masculina e outra, feminina – Curitiba, Paraná, Brasil – com a finalidade de analisar o acesso à saúde naqueles espaços a fim de auxiliar na formação de estratégias de acolhimento dessa população na AB. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo com entrevistas abertas, observação participante, registro em diário de campo e pesquisador com experiência no atendimento dessa população. Como resultado, observaram-se aspectos estruturais e processuais interferindo no acesso aos procedimentos diagnósticos e terapêuticos do atendimento à saúde, bem como a quase inexistência da prevenção de doenças.
A depressão é um transtorno mental caracterizado por transtornos de humor, ocasionados pela interação de fatores sociais, físicos e ambientais que mais afeta a população mundial. A intensidade dos sintomas pode causar ao paciente problemas sociais e psicológicos, os quais podem levar o indivíduo ao suicídio. Condições orgânicas e mentais, além de exigências sociais e familiares, tornam a população infanto-juvenil vulnerável ao desenvolvimento da depressão. A ausência de estudos e ferramentas padronizadas torna o diagnóstico difícil e tardio, potencializando danos ao paciente. Propusemos apresentar nesta revisão de caráter qualitativo e descritivo, uma análise crítica e detalhada dos estudos publicados nos últimos dez anos relacionados à depressão infanto-juvenil, principais ferramentas validadas utilizadas e as dificuldades no diagnóstico precoce. Foram realizadas buscas nas plataformas Scielo®, MedLine® e PubMed® utilizando-se descritores correlatos. Após critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 22 artigos foram selecionados para integrar esta revisão. Os estudos demonstram que a associação entre ferramentas de análise, como a entrevista semiestruturada, e a detecção dos sintomas através da análise cautelosa e criteriosa por psicólogos e médicos facilitam a suspeita deste diagnóstico nessa faixa etária. Assim, as informações apresentadas nesta revisão são importantes para que profissionais da saúde tenham melhor compreensão dos sintomas e as ferramentas validadas mais precisas para o diagnóstico da depressão infanto-juvenil.
