Local water supply company in Indonesia still uses analog water meter, hence the data recording of customer’ water usage was carried out by officers manually. It is certainly an inefficient and risky method that could produce errors. Moreover, not all water meter data could be recorded at the time officers come to the location, for example in vacant houses, that could causing customers suffer the consequences such as fine for late payment. In this study, we proposed a new water meter reading system design which contains a conversion device that could convert analog water usage data into the digital one, installed in existing analog meter. The converted data would be transmitted to local concentrator using a 433 MHz wireless transceiver network and sent to the server that acts as monitoring center via cellular networks. The process of digitizing the water meter does not need to be done by replacing the existing analog water meters. Thus, the investment costs of the water meter digitalization process would be relatively cheaper and it could be a solution for increasing the recording efficiency and accuracy of customer’s water usage data.
Hospital is an organization that primarily provides services in the form of examination, treatment, medical treatment and other diagnostic measures required by each patient in the limits of the technology and the means provided by the hospital. So that patients get the maximum service, hospitals have to provide the best services, one of the services that are being highlighted is the queue system. This study proposed a queue control system at the hospital using a quick response code (QR Code) as verification of the patient's arrival that serves to speed up the administrative process and provide effective services, to facilitate the patient in terms of the queuing line (registration) at the hospital. The queue control system uses the website as a registration and database repository for patient data. This website has two kinds of display form, as a patient or a doctor. This kind of display is useful to speed up the administrative process, so that registration can be done at any time by the patient, with patient entering/filling data themselves and their complaints or medical records that are automatically available on the website, so that patients do not need to come to the hospital with a medical record. Furthermore, the website will filter the data entered by the patient as the patient's complaints, so that patients can choose the hospital that provides services for patients' illness complaints which are also showing hospital addresses to facilitate patients in finding the location of the hospital. After the administration process on the website, the system will provide a QR Code as a form of verification for patients who have registered, with their data already exists in the database. When the patient arrives at the hospital, the patient only needs to scan the QR code that already exists, without taking care of the administration back because at the time the system gives a QR Code, indicating that patients already had a hospital destination along with the queue number. It is expected that the queue control system implemented at the hospital using a quick response code (QR Code) as verification of the patient's arrival, could speed up the administrative process to be more effective and efficient.
Along with increasing years, meeting food needs in Indonesia continues to experience improvements. This is because it is not balanced between the rate of population growth and the amount of food production. In order to help increase food production and improve the quality of food, modern technology in agriculture is needed, one of which is a greenhouse. Most greenhouses still use manual watering systems that have not been supported by technology that utilizes an automatic watering system and is accompanied by a monitoring system, temperature and humidity control and greenhouse soil moisture using wireless sensor network communications. By spreading 6 nodes at each point and each node equipped with 3 sensors, it is expected that the greenhouse monitoring and control process will be more thorough. The results of temperature testing at the greenhouse before using the wireless sensor network and after being implemented have increased by 23%. This also applies to the value of air humidity has increased by 4% and soil moisture by 1.20%.
The local water supply corporation in Indonesia only uses analog water meter so that the monitoring of water usage information was conducted by officers manually. Officers must physically monitor the value in the customer's water meter that can lead to unreliable reading and ineffectiveness of process. Smart meter is one of the smart city metrics which could overcome this problem. This research uses the flow sensor to design and incorporate automated water meters. The measured value is then passed via the 433 MHz LoRa, a low-power wide-area network protocol, to the local hub, then forwarded to the server via the internet based cellular network. Results show that our proposed system's accuracy hit 97.31% at an ideal distance of 200 meters from customer to the local hub. The customer's water usage could be tracked in real time with our proposed system. Furthermore, the original water meter need not to be replaced which may minimize capital costs for this system.
