A facile and novel method to synthesize isothiocyanides from cyclic and acyclic amines and carbon disulphide in DMSO with Triton-B as catalyst in non-aqueous medium is being reported. The method is less tedious and offers excellent yields. The structures have been elucidated by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR and mass spectroscopy.
Diesters are important synthetic tools for many biologically active compounds. Dieckmann condensation is an important organic reaction. This reaction is generally used in the formation of larger molecules and form new carbon -carbon bond. Condensation reaction is important for the formation of biological molecules. Dieckmann condensation reaction is named after a German chemist Walter Dieckmann. Dieckmann condensation reaction is intramolecular organic reactions of diesters with base and give β-keto esters. Dieckmann condensation is equivalent to intramolecular claisen condensation reaction. In this project we will discuss about the mechanism and applications of dieckmann condensation.
A differentiated series of thiocarbonic acid esters have been synthesized and characterized in good to excellent yields with the help of thiols, carbon di sulphide and alkyl/aryl halides in DMSO with benzyl trimethylammonium hydroxide where Triton B acts as a catalyst. This method is safer and efficient as compared to other conventional methods.
Covid-19 (Pandemic) not only agitated physical health, but mental health has also taken a toll in last 2 years however, it impacts on our lifestyle . The aim of this review is to disclose about the lifestyle changes due to the disruption of Covid-19 and how humans are approaching this global pandemic. A survey was conducted online, in which we prepared a questioner chart asking about different lifestyles problems including increased screen-time, lack of body movement, eating disorder, dietary health, depression, sleeping pattern, in lockdown period due to coronaviruses. Total 138 people were involved, aged 16- 50 in this survey about 70% respondent in elevation of screen-time, and about 30 % people increased their fruit & vegetable intake after the outbreak of covid19. Keywords: Covid-19, lifestyle, health, obesity, pandemic
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
