El objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación fue evaluar el potencial fitorremediador de suelo de Ambrosia ambrosioides, determinar la absorción de metales pesados (cadmio, cobre y plomo) en la planta bajo diferentes concentraciones 0, 20, 40, y 60 mg L-1 aplicadas en el agua de riego. Los análisis se realizaron mediante absorción atómica, y con los datos obtenidos se calculó el factor de traslocación y factor de bioconcentración. El desarrollo del experimento y análisis de laboratorio se realizaron en la Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro Unidad Laguna en el año 2018. Se utilizó un diseño factorial 3 por 4 con 4 repeticiones, siendo el factor A el metal pesado y el B la concentración del metal. Se tuvieron en total 12 tratamientos. Los resultados mostraron que en raíz, tallo y hoja las mayores concentraciones se presentaron en el tratamiento de cobre a 20 mg L1 con valores de 15 827.2, 13 030.9 y 4 979.4 mg kg-1 respectivamente. El cobre fue el metal que más absorbió la planta seguido por cadmio y plomo. El factor de traslocación biológico indicó que el cadmio es un elemento que la planta trasloca hacia sus hojas con mayor facilidad seguido por el cobre. En Ambrosia ambrosioides es nula la traslocación de plomo. El factor de bioconcentración superó el valor comparativo de 1 en todos los tratamientos, esto indica que se efectuó una alta fitoextracción y que Ambrosia ambrosioides puede ser utilizada en fitorremediación y sanidad de suelos.
