ABSTRAKDalam rangka peningkatan mutu dan hasil produksi kentang diperlukan informasi bagi petani tentang teknologi budidaya yang menjadi rujukan dalam berusahatani. Penelitian ini menyajikan analisis tentang bagaimana upaya petani kentang dalam mendapatkan informasi yang dibutuhkan melalui pendekatan jaringan komunikasi. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) mendeskripsikan struktur jaringan komunikasi dan peran aktor (2) Mendeskripsikan karakteristik individu dan karakteristik usahatani (3) Menganalisis hubungan antara jaringan komunikasi dan penerapan teknologi budidaya kentang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Struktur jaringan bersifat menyebar dan memusat dengan tingkat keterhubungan antar aktor yang rendah, sedangkan aktor yang berperan penting pada aspek (bibit dan panen) adalah aktor 10, 12, 35, 61 dan pada aspek (pemupukan dan HPT) adalah aktor 11, 76, 60, dan 50. (2) Karakteristik individu dan usahatani merupakan faktor pendukung dalam meningkatkan keterhubungan antar aktor dan peranan aktor dalam jaringan komunikasi. (3) Hubungan antara jaringan komunikasi dengan penerapan teknologi budidaya kentang menunjukkan hubungan yang positif dan nyata.Kata kunci: jaringan komunikasi; penerapan teknologi; sentralitas aktor 10, 12, 35, 61 and aspects (fertilization and HPT) is an actor 11, 76, 60, and 50. (2) ABSTRACT In order to improve the quality and yield of potatoes needed information for farmers on farming technologies that become the reference in farming. This study presents an analysis of how the efforts of potato growers to obtain the necessary information through a communication network approach. The purpose of this research is (1) to describe the structure of communication networks and the role of actors (2) Describe the individual characteristics and the characteristics of farming (3) to analyze the relationship between the communication network and application technologies of potato cultivation. The success of the farmer group depends on communication skills of the head of farmer group. Hence, the head of Sidodadi farmer group need a right communication to convey the information to group members. Appropriate communication will affect the members to receive a message delivered by the head of Sidodadi farmer group properly. Either communication do by the head of the Sidodadi farmer group is interpersonal communication. This research aims to describe the farmer's group effectiveness of interpersonal communication to keep Sidodadi farmers' group maintained. The analysis method that used in this research was descriptive analysis. The result of this research shows that interpersonal communication the head of Sidodadi farmer group has been effective. Effectiveness of interpersonal communication the head of Sidodadi farmer group can be seen from the attitude of the head of Sidodadi farmer group such as open attitude, empathy attitude, support attitude, positive attitude and equality attitude. With the effectiveness of interpersonal communication, the head of the farmer group made the existence of head of Sidodadi farmer group to be maintained.
The democratic era has promoted transparency, public participation, and open access on public information, therefore, public relations is considered an integral part of the democratic process. The study is not only about genders representation, but also the outcome of involving genders and their competence in managerial positions. This study aims to portray the outcome of employing male and female and their competency in managing government public relations in Indonesia. An online survey on 102 public relations practitioners from various government institutions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and univariate formula. The research reveals that government public relations have applied two-way communication models and resulted in an excellent outcome on Indonesian democratization. The findings affirm that the emerging democracy has encouraged effective practices and challenge public information, the previous model that government institutions provided. Results show different outcomes on two-way communication when male or female manages the model. On the managerial level, the female practitioners have proper competence implement the model at a higher level than males. Since gender issue in government public relations practices has been little investigated, this study recommends the Indonesian governments to provide more opportunities for female practitioners as part of the top management in public relations divisions. The government needs to change its mind-set that gender issue takes into account not only representativeness but also their competence.
Corporate communication is one of the main keys to building public trust in a company. The development of information and communication technology such as websites is used by companies to achieve a goal. This study uses quantitative content analysis methods to answer whether PT Freeport Indonesia, which is now a state-owned company, can implement Dialogic communication on the company's website. The methodology used is quantitative content analysis, while the research is the website of PT Freeport Indonesia for the period 2021. The data analysis used is a coding sheet and the principles presented by Kent & Taylor (1998). The results obtained are through the eight main features and their contents, and 88 news reports in 2021 that the principles of dialogic communication are applied to the website. PT Freeport Indonesia applies all the principles of Dialogic Communication so that it can be called dialogic, which is open and communicative to the public or its visitors. The five principles have different values or levels in each principle ranging from very good to less than optimal. The PT Freeport Indonesia website has the main purpose as a means of sharing information, not for direct two-way communication.
