AbstrakSelain kebutuhan nutrisi, atlet juga membutuhkan pengaturan hidrasi dan konsumsi cairan yang baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi atlet terhadap kebutuhan cairan (hidrasi) serta konsumsi cairan baik saat latihan dan pertandingan pada atlet bola basket putra dan putri kejurda kelahiran usia-18 tahun kabupaten indramayu.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasi dengan rancangan Mixed methods (Metode campuran), karena pengambilan dan pengolahan data dilakukan dengan dua metode, kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang dilakukan secara berkesinambungan. Metode kuantitatif dilakukan pada analisis konsumsi cairan, sedangkan metode kualitatif dilakukan untuk mengetahui status hidrasi dengan pengukuran PURI. Kuesioner “Food Beverage” (angket minuman) untuk mengumpulkan data meliputi konsumsi cairan, kebiasaan minum yang terdiri dari frekuensi, jenis, dan sumber minuman, dan pengetahuan tentang cairan. Tehnik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sampling populasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan populasi atlet bola basket kejurda putra/putri Kab.Indramayu yang berjumlah 24 atlet.Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian bahwa (1) status hidrasi atlet bola basket kejurda KU-18 tahun Kab.Indramayu yaitu mayoritas mengalami dehidrasi, dari sebanyak 23 atlet; sebanyak 12 atlet atau sebanyak 52,2 % mengalami dehidrasi dan sisanya berada pada status baik, dehidrasi dan sangat dehidrasi. (2) konsumsi cairan pada atlet bola basket kejurda KU-18 tahun Kab. Indramayu mayoritas masih kurang, sebanyak 47 % (11 orang) dari keseluruhan responden berada pada kategori kurang konsumsi cairan. (3) Berdasarkan hasil koefisien korelasi product moment (Pearson Correlation) antara konsumsi cairan dan status hidrasi sebesar rXY -0,185 dengan p (sig.) sebesar= 0,399. Ternyata p>0,05; dan arahnya negatif (-); dengan demikian Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak; sehingga dapat disimpulkan ada hubungan negatif yang tidak signifikan antara jumlah konsumsi cairan dan status hidrasi Atlet Kejurda Bola basket KU-18 tahunKata kunci: Status Hidrasi, Konsumsi Cairan, dan Bola Basket
