A atual edição apresenta de forma caleidoscópica os fenômenos vinculados às relações entre a ordem neoliberal e a dinâmica democrática. Os autores, por diferentes abordagens e enfoques, brindam-nos com reflexões instigantes e, por que não dizer, bastante originais para pensar um dos fenômenos mais importantes da vida contemporânea. Abrimos a edição com a entrevista do filósofo francês Christian Laval que aborda, a partir de suas publicações recentes, a articulação entre o pensamento do sociólogo francês Pierre Bourdieu e o filósofo, também francês, Michel Foucault, a respeito do neoliberalismo.

Os autores, por diferentes abordagens e enfoques, brindam-nos com reflexões instigantes e, por que não dizer, bastante originais para pensar um dos fenômenos mais importantes da vida contemporânea. Abrimos a edição com a entrevista do filósofo francês Christian Laval que aborda, a partir de suas publicações recentes, a articulação entre o pensamento do sociólogo francês Pierre Bourdieu e o filósofo, também francês, Michel Foucault, a respeito do neoliberalismo. A partir de algumas “pegadas” do pensamento de Bourdieu, Laval reconstrói a forma como o sociólogo construiu uma espécie de primeira teoria sociológica do neoliberalismo. Ao realizar o paralelo com a obra de Foucault, Laval demonstra como o filósofo compreende a governamentalidade neoliberal associada a uma estratégia dos governantes ocidentais para impedir os avanços dos movimentos sociais insurgentes nos anos 1960. Para Laval, o neoliberalismo não é apenas uma política econômica, mas se tornou uma realidade sistêmica, ou seja, um conjunto de regras, de instituições e mecanismos que atuam nas políticas governamentais, no pensamento dos economistas e em comentaristas políticos na atualidade. Em Démocratie insurgeante no pensamento de Miguel Abensour, Silvana Tótora dialoga com a filosofia política de Miguel Abensour, onde podemos encontrar a construção do conceito de democracia insurgente. Trata-se de uma reflexão que nos possibilita ampliar os horizontes do desgaste vivido nas sociedades democráticas que sempre se comprometem com a racionalidade neoliberal, distanciando-se das formas de resistência emergentes na sociedade.
A Revista Aurora foi criada durante o segundo semestre de 2007 e seu primeiro número data do mês de jul./dez. daquele ano. Trata-se de uma Revista Semestral, Coordenada, Gerida e Editada pelo Corpo Discente do Programa de Pós- Graduação em Ciências Sociais da Faculdade de Filoso&a e Ciências/Campus de Marília, a partir de seu Conselho Executivo e Editor, e presidida pelo Coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Sociais.
O terceiro número da Revista Aurora vem a público com o Dossiê Identidade e outras formas de sociabilidade. Dando continuidade ao nosso projeto editorial, essa seção trás temas que se inserem no debate proposto pela linha de pesquisa Cultura, Identidade e Memória - ligada ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Sociais. Os artigos discutem assuntos de relevância para a área, tais como, a questão da identidade religiosa dos adeptos do candomblé; os fundamentos normativos da Teoria Crítica e o debate entorno do legado de Jürgen Habermas; e ainda, uma discussão sobre o cotidiano nos Centros de Ressocialização.í¯€
A Aurora deste semestre vem a público enquanto instrumento de reflexãoe debate do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Sociais. Nesteintento é que inauguramos seções no interior de nossa revista.
