UAI é um framework de classes C++ para desenvolvimento de programas gráfico-interativos com suporte a objetos visuais. Entre as principais características do sistema, pode-se citar a alta integração do sistema de interfaces com o sistema gráfico e a portabilidade. Este artigo descreve as facilidades de UAI para modelagem de objetos ativos. UAI roda atualmente em plataformas X-Windows, MS-DOS e MS-Windows.
O artigo discute a aplicabilidade da atual teoria de subáreas da Música a partir de análises documentais qualitativas e quantitativas de produtos de pesquisa, regulamentos de programas de pós-graduação e chamadas de trabalho de eventos acadêmicos, debatidos à luz das trajetórias de associações acadêmicas no Brasil e no exterior e de teorias musicológicas. As análises revelaram um descompasso entre a teoria promovida em discursos e a teoria de fato colocada em prática pelos pesquisadores da própria área, constatação que levou à elaboração de uma discussão conceitual a respeito da forma com que se segmenta a área da Música no Brasil atualmente. Foram identificadas iniciativas específicas que já adotam abertamente uma nova forma de trabalhar com subáreas, que constituem, ao final do debate, um conjunto de encaminhamentos viáveis para renovar a teoria musicológica frente às práticas já em ação no país.
Este artigo apresenta uma compilação dos 87 dossiês temáticos publicados entre 2016 e 2020 em 27 revistas acadêmicas de Música do Brasil e considerações a respeito desta produção e de suas condições de visibilidade. Foram analisadas as capas, editoriais, sites, itens e sumários de 187 edições para identificar os dossiês. Como principais resultados, destacam-se uma organização esquemática dos 87 dossiês em 7 categorias, a grande variedade temática dos dossiês, o papel de periódicos de Programas de Pós-Graduação nas discussões sobre questões estruturais da área e a necessidade de compatibilização de inconsistências nas publicações. Estima-se que estas observações ofereçam subsídios para editores em suas decisões e que a compilação apresentada seja ferramenta básica de pesquisa para qualquer pesquisador da área de Música.
Apresenta-se um mapeamento de revistas acadêmicas brasileiras na área de Música no período 2000-2020. A identificação de novos títulos e o encerramento de periódicos demandou pesquisa bibliográfica-documental e interpessoal. Como principais resultados da pesquisa, destacam-se o levantamento de 23 títulos criados neste período, a importância dos Programas de Pós-Graduação para os periódicos brasileiros da área, os impactos da transição do mundo impresso aos meios digitais e uma mudança recente na justificativa para a criação de periódicos.
