A obesidade nada mais é que o acúmulo excessivo de gordura no organismo, que pode levar a comprometimentos de saúde. Nos últimos 20 anos, o excesso de gordura na população infantil aumentou drasticamente, devido a maus hábitos alimentares, por influência de mídias e das relações sociais na qual a criança está inserida. Objetivo: verificar as influências do estilo de vida, relações sociais e da mídia na obesidade infantil e entender como as aulas de Educação Física podem auxiliar na sua prevenção. Método: este estudo constitui-se de uma revisão da literatura, realizada entre abril e julho de 2015, alicerçada por livros presentes na Biblioteca das Faculdades Sudamérica e por artigos científicos selecionados através de busca no banco de dados dos periódicos capes, Scielo, Bireme e Pubmed. Resultados: foram selecionados 111 artigos na busca das palavras chaves, e posteriormente selecionado 51 que atendiam ao interesse da pesquisa. Considerações finais: de acordo com a maioria das pesquisas estudadas, apenas duas aulas de 50 minutos por semana, o professor de Educação Física não consegue combater a obesidade, mas consegue com uma importante contribuição da mídia, conscientizar esses alunos a respeito de hábitos alimentares saudáveis e práticas regulares de atividades físicas, contribuindo assim para a diminuição dos quadros de obesidade infantil registrados atualmente.
Relação entre a duração do período de recuperação e a expressão sérica de CK e creatinina após treino de força em circuito PALAVRAS CHAVE: Creatina quinase. Creatinina. Dano muscular. Função renal. Treino em circuito. RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar como duas sessões de treino de força em circuito, com intervalos de recuperação diferentes, afetam biomarcadores de lesão muscular e indicadores da função renal. Mulheres, praticantes de ginástica localizada, foram divididas em dois grupos de igual número (n = 8) e realizaram duas sessões compostas por 12 exercícios alternados por segmento corporal, com intervalos de 15 segundos, e intensidade entre 6 e 8 da escala OMINI-RES. Um grupo realizou as sessões com 24 horas (G24) e o outro com 48 horas (G48) de intervalo entre a primeira e segunda sessão de exercício. A atividade sérica da creatina quinase (CK) e creatinina e a concentração de creatinina na urina foram analisadas em dois momentos: Antes e 72 horas após a segunda sessão de exercício. A atividade sérica da CK e da creatinina aumentou em ambos os grupos 72 horas após a sessão experimental, sem diferenças entre os grupos em relação à CK, mas com maior aumento da creatinina sérica para o G24. O G24 apresentou redução da creatinina na urina, dado não observado no G48. Pode-se concluir que o aumento do intervalo de recuperação de 24 para 48 horas permite uma recuperação mais eficaz tanto da função renal quanto do stresse muscular.
