Essen ist nicht nur Voraussetzung für das Überleben, es dient darüber hinaus auch weiterengrundlegenden psychischen und sozialen Bedürfnissen. Die Steuerung von Hunger und Sättigung erfolgt daher sowohl über die Homöostase als auch durch psychische und soziale Faktoren, die ebenso Einfluss auf die cerebrale Steuerung nehmen. Eine Aufgabe der Ernährungs- und Verbraucherbildung ist, auf der Basis von Wissen über diese Zusammenhänge Essverhalten verstehen, reflektieren und gestalten zu können.
Wissenschaftlicher Nachwuchs ist bedeutsam für den Erhalt und Ausbau jeder Disziplin. Aktuell gibt es nur wenige empirische Erkenntnisse zur Situation in der haushaltsbezogenen Bildung. Im Beitrag werden ausgewählte Aspekte zur Situation der Nachwuchsförderung skizziert und Anknüpfungspunkte für die haushaltsbezogene Bildung vor dem Hintergrund erster Erfahrungen aus der 2019 gegründeten Nachwuchsgruppe HaBiFo-NEO diskutiert.
Non-formale Fortbildungsangebote für die Ernährungspraxis werden zunehmend angeboten und in Anspruch genommen. In der vorliegenden Untersuchung wurden die Teilnehmenden eines bundesweiten Fortbildungsangebots, die Ernährungspraxis in der Grundschule aufgreifen möchten, hinsichtlich ihrer Qualifikation und Kompetenzen sowie den jeweiligen Rahmenbedingungen ihrer Tätigkeit in der Grundschule untersucht.
Kinder wachsen in einer digital-medial geprägten und gestaltbaren Lebenswelt auf. Digitalität verändert alle Lebensbereiche und bringt neue Herausforderungen für den Konsum(-alltag) mit sich. Um in der Kultur der Digitalität gesellschaftliche Teilhabe für alle zu ermöglichen, benötigen Kinder entsprechende Konsumkompetenzen. Die Herausforderungen und Potentiale für die Ernährungs- und Verbraucherbildung im Sachunterricht werden aufgezeigt.
