Elméleti háttér: Számos kutatás foglalkozik a ritka betegségekben szenvedők életminőségé-vel, mentális jóllétével. Nemzetközi vizsgálatok szerint a vérzékenységgel járó megbetegedések, feltehetően a korszerű kezelés következtében, nem érintik súlyosan a gyermekek és serdülők mentális jóllétét, életminőségét, bár egyes vizsgálatok problémákra utalnak az érzelmi/hangulati élet, az aktivitás és a figyelem, valamint a szociális és családi működés terén. Magyar nyelvű publikációt azonban nem találtunk a témában. Cél: Vizsgálatunk célja vérzékenységben szenvedő gyermekek és serdülők életminőségének és mentális egész-ségének összehasonlítása volt egészséges kontrollal, illetve figyelemhiányos/hiperaktivitás zavarban (ADHD) szenvedő gyermekek csoportjával. Módszerek: Keresztmetszeti kutatá-sunkban, 25-25 vérzékenységben, illetve ADHD-ban szenvedő és 25 egészséges gyermek gondozója számolt be gyermeke életminőségéről és pszichopatológiai tüneteiről az Inventar zur Erfassung der Lebensqualität von Kindern und Jugendlichen (ILK) kérdőív és a Képességek és Nehézségek Kérdőív (SDQ) kitöltésével. Eredmények: A szülői beszámoló szerint a vérzé-keny gyermekek életminősége nem tért el az egészséges gyermekekétől. Az ADHD-ban szenvedő gyermekek életminősége azonban egyetlen terület (családi kapcsolatok) kivéte-lével minden területen alacsonyabb volt, mint a vérzékeny csoportba tartozó gyermekeké. A vérzékeny csoport a szülői beszámoló szerint szignifikánsan kevesebb pszichopatológiai tünetet mutatott az SDQ összesített Probléma skálán, valamint a kortárskapcsolati, illetve érzelmi problémák alskálán, mint a másik két vizsgálati csoport. Az ADHD-s csoport a proszociális magatartás alskála kivételével minden problématerületen szignifikánsan magasabb pontszámot ért el, mint a vérzékeny csoport. Következtetések: A vérzékeny gyermekek életminősége és mentális jólléte a szülői beszámoló szerint nem rosszabb, mint az egészséges gyermekeké. A vérzékenységgel járó megbetegedések hatása az életminőségre és mentális jóllétre lényegesen kisebb, mint az ADHD esetében tapasztalható.
