Abstract: Shielded dielectric ring-and disc resonators are investigated by means of the mode-matching technique. Numerical results are given for the lowest-order resonance modes of different resonators. The deviation of the calculated resonant frequencies from calculated and measured values given in literature is smaller than 0.2% or 0.8%, respectively. Influence of disc radius and shielding on the resonance mode of one disc resonator is investigated and figured by plots of the calculated lines ofmagnetic field and the stored energy. The resonances are classified as "inner" and "outer" resonance modes. Resonant frequency versus hight of the upper screen diagramms are given for the lowest-order "inner" mode of a disc resonator. It is pointed out that the resonant frequency increases less than 2 % if the radius of a concentric bore-hole in the disc is less than a third of the disc radius.Für die Dokumentation: Resonator / MIC-Oszillator / Filter / Orthogonalentwicklung
Abstract: As the speed in electronic systems is increased, signal distortion effects, signal reflexions and cross-talk effects arise due to coupled transmission lines in interconnections of electronic modules. There are also influences due to the housing and mounting elements of devices (e.g. bond wires). To take into account all these effects in verifying a circuit or a system, a CAE-System has to be extended by new features. A concept will be represented for expanding a CAE-System by introducing a database for structure-elements. This database describes structure-elements by symbols, models and with their real geometry (layout). A given critical connection of electronic modules can be decomposed in structure-elements (e.g. coupled transmission line system; vias; transmission line discontinuities; transmission line crossings). For verifying a circuit, the models of the structure-elements are built into a standard circuit simulator (e.g. SPICE).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
