This paper proposes a method of Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) for control program. If malfunction of control program occurs, industrial product into which program is installed may behave inadequately. As a result, it causes some faults for industrial products, but it also causes damages to the users and environments. This paper proposes following method; prepare FT templates corresponding to the program structure, extract characteristics of control program, and develop FT according to the predefined rules. As a result, we can develop FT mechanically. The proposed FTA method is applied to an analysis of "spin too fast" fault for satellite, and FT is developed. The result of FT is adequate. This result shows that safety of control program installed into industrial products are improved by applying the proposed FTA method for control program.
This paper proposes operational Risk Management (RM) method using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for drug manufacturing computerlized system (DMCS). The quality of drug must not be influenced by failures and operational mistakes of DMCS. To avoid such situation, DMCS has to be conducted enough risk assessment and taken precautions. We propose operational RM method using FMEA for DMCS. To propose the method, we gathered and compared the FMEA results of DMCS, and develop a list that contains failure modes, failures and countermeasures. To apply this list, we can conduct RM in design phase, find failures, and conduct countermeasures efficiently. Additionally, we can find some failures that have not been found yet.
: This paper proposes a method that aggregates similar portions (code clones) in the developed program and redesigns the current program structure to an adequate program structure. The procedure of the proposed method is the following: Code clones are detected, and their characteristics are extracted, the design methods that code clones are aggregated are proposed, the program is modified, and the affected portions in the program are clarified and retested. Furthermore, a tool that supports the proposed method is created. As a result of applying the proposed method and the tool, it is found that 45% CCs are aggregated and 13% instructions of the program are deleted. Additionally, it is found that an adequate program structure is realized by using the proposed method and the tool.
In this research, we have verified whether spring-water spots have what it takes to be the core of the mutually supportive network. Based on this verification, we have evaluated whether spring-water spots can become the foundation of a mutually supportive network. The above-mentioned findings show us that elderly persons visit spring-water spots at their own initiative, and they can build better and cooperative relationships with other visitors. Therefore, it is highly probable that spring-water spots have sufficient qualities to serve as the core for a mutually-cooperative network.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
