Dear String Community, I am inspired by the innovation, commitment, and passion displayed by ASTA members as they rebuild and re-envision their classrooms following the pandemic shutdowns. This past June, ASTA CEO Lynn Tuttle and I attended the 2022 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) National Conference in Anaheim, CA, and were blown away by the presentations, performances, and conversations taking place. Leaders from nearly every music organization were meeting, dialoging, and making collaborative plans about the future of music education. When interacting with string teachers throughout the United States as well as leaders from different organizations in the arts, everyone seemed to be asking similar questions:• How can we share the love of music with more people?• How can we be more inclusive, more welcoming, more accessible?
