O Câncer é o principal problema de saúde pública no mundo (INCA,2020), é uma doença caracterizada pela multiplicação desordenada de células atípicas e pode ocorrer em qualquer local do corpo (SIEGEL et al., 2012; MUTTI, et al.,2018). No Brasil, o número de novos casos de câncer infanto-juvenil esperados para o triênio 2020-2022 é de 4.310 casos novos no sexo masculino e de 4.150 para o sexo feminino (INCA,2020). As neoplasias de maior incidência na infância são as leucemias, as do sistema nervoso central (SNC) e os linfomas (MUTTI, et al.,2018).
