O desenvolvimento de nanoestruturas é de grande importância para aplicações tecnoló- gicas bem como para uma maior compreensão de fenômenos quânticos. Nesta escala, destacam-se os pontos quânticos, que são nanoestruturas cuja luminescência é tamanho- dependente. Estas estruturas podem ser sintetizadas tanto em abordagens bottom-up quanto em top-down. Em particular, a síntese de pontos quânticos coloidais usando rotas químicas é uma das mais empregadas, devido a variedade de aplicações possíveis para as nanoestruturas luminescentes produzidas desta maneira. Neste trabalho, apresentamos os resultados de uma nova rota de síntese para pontos quânticos coloidais de CdTe em meio aquoso. A grande vantagem sobre sínteses já bem conhecidas encontra-se na sua facilidade de reprodução bem como a simpliőcação de etapas experimentais complexas relatadas em trabalhos anteriores. A particularidade experimental encontra-se no método de obtenção do precursor calcogeneto à base de telúrio. Por meio de análises ópticas de fotolumi- nescência e absorbância aliadas ao modelo teórico DFL, o qual determina a distribuição de tamanhos das nanopartículas luminescentes, extraímos os parâmetros necessários para uma análise cinética da reação do crescimento dos pontos quânticos de CdTe. Os raios das nanopartículas obtidos analiticamente foram veriőcados experimentalmente através da técnica de microscopia de força atômica. Foi então realizada uma investigação dos modos de crescimento via análise cronomal de Nielsen, a qual permitiu deőnir os modos de crescimento predominantes. Palavras-chave: Pontos Quânticos CdTe.
