COVID-19 also referred to as Corona Virus disease is a communicable disease that is caused by a coronavirus. Significant number of people who are tainted with this infection will have to brave and encounter moderate to severe respiratory sickness. Aged persons, sick, convalescing people and all those having underlying health complications like diabetes, chronic breathing diseases and cardiovascular diseases are bound to contract this sickness if not taken proper care of. At the current scenario, there are neither definite treatments nor inoculations against COVID-19. Nevertheless, there are numerous continuing clinical trials assessing the impending treatments and vaccines. Sensing the threatening impacts of Covid-19, researchers of computer science have started using various techniques and approaches of Machine Learning and Deep Learning to detect the presence of the disease using X-rays and CT images. The biggest stumbling block here is that there are only a few datasets available. There is also less number of experts for marking the information explicit to this new strain of infection in people. Artificial Intelligence centred tools can be designed and developed quickly for adapting the existing AI models and for leveraging the ability to modify and associating them with the preliminary clinical understanding to address the new group of COVID-19 and the novel challenges associated with it. In this paper, we look into a few techniques of Machine Learning and Deep Learning that have been employed to analyse Corona Virus Data.
The increase of internet usage in recent times has been a noticeable change in this generation. Users from all over the world use social sites to interact across the world. Countless websites are present today. With countless networks and sites, some people or companies tend to create new ways to lure out the random users using the web, such as phishing. In phishing, the normal users are swindled to use the fraudulent websites. The aim is to identify the phishing websites with great accuracy and compare different methods by which phishing websites can be tracked in an easier and more accurate way. Comparative studies of various algorithms are tested with the help of 10,000 datasets, each tested with 18 different parameters to increase the accuracy score of each algorithm. The paper shows the methods used for phishing detection are more accurate than other practices done so far using certain appropriate parameters and more useful.
Presently there are lot of materials that can be used in the fabrication of any item, so choosing a material is a major criteria. So the materials are chosen depending on the properties desired by the resulting item. The composite materials have better properties when compared with its individual components, metals and ceramics. The overall appeal of the product depends mainly on its durability, aesthetics and its final cost. Composite materials are cost effective and significantly satisfy the needs of the clients. By utilizing composite materials we can obtain high strength to weight ratio at a relatively economical cost. Moreover, they can be produced easily by basic part forming. Hybrid polymer composites have been studied of late which improves a specific property of the composite that is under question. Here a hybrid composite made of laminate of Nomex and HS glass sheets with varying percentage (1% -2.5 %) of bisphenol dispersed in resin is prepared. The same samples were subjected to cryogenic treatment (24 hrs and 72 hrs). The results of tensile strength, flexural strength and hardness were compared for all the specimens 24 hrs cryogenic, 72hrs cryogenic and non-treated specimens. The results showed that the hardness of the cryogenic treated bisphenol based PMCs has increased with the weight percentage of Bisphenol indicating the fact that the laminates can withstand more loads at subzero temperatures The increase observed was about 3 -4 % more in terms of BHN number. At the same time the tensile and flexural strengths have considerably reduced after treating the PMC cryogenically as the laminates becomes more brittle when treated. The tensile strength increased by about 10% approximately and the flexural strength reduced by 300%.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
