Social media, a 21th century platform and a tool to help nation and its societies to create, express, exchange their thoughts and ideas widely. People of all age group are fascinated to use and make this tool as any other media, to connect it to the world with lesser time and energy. Social media technology is wide enough to include blogging, picture-sharing, wall-posting, music-sharing, crowd sourcing and voice over IP, blogs etc, which today people are enjoying to utilize it to communicate with each other and also stimulate themselves to innovate more ideas and expressions. Social media, emerging as a hottest promotion tool during elections by the political parties to influence, connect and express their vision, objective to help them increase their visibility, or to gain majority. Today people live on social media, where even political parties want to reach out to hit them where they live. The purpose of writing this research paper is to understand the role social media plays in decision making of voters while they vote. The results of the study show that the social media have significant influence on voting decision especially young voters. The study also support that the remarks/tweets/comments by political leaders significantly influence their decision to vote for that party.
There has been a great deal of discussion in recognizing the rundown of advertising blend components. The conventional showcasing blend by McCarthy (1964) has pulled together Bordens (1965) 12 components and has contained to four components of item, value, advancement and spot. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence ratio of outdoor advertisements on survey participants (consumers) and to measure the effects on participants' purchasing behavior. The research also attempted to specify the different characteristics of outdoor advertisements in comparison to other advertising instruments. The other research aims are to designate the status of outdoor advertisements among the advertisement instruments which are thought to have an effect on the purchasing behavior of consumers and to determine the effects and dimensions of outdoor advertisements. A face-to-face interview survey is conducted on 200 respondents who are selected with non-random sampling. Data were analyzed by using T-test, variant analysis and factor analysis. The result of the analysis shows that people generally have positive opinions about outdoor advertisements. They think that outdoor advertisements are more eye-catching and creative when compared to other advertisement types and their physical size lends them an effective visual impact. Respondents also stated that outdoor advertisements contribute to the cityscape in terms of variety and beauty, and they do not pollute the environment. However, awareness of outdoor advertisement amongst some people is relatively low. The results of the study indicate that outdoor advertisements which create different ideas, which are effective in informing and persuading people and which are sensitive to the environment can be viewed positively by consumers. In particular, amongst consumers with higher educational and income levels, outdoor advertisements are becoming striking and their visibility is increasing.
In recent years there has been increased discussion of the subjective, emotional and sociological factors influencing student choice of university. However, there is a dearth of information exploring what constitutes these feelings. This exploratory paper uses the conceptual model of the servicescape to provide insight into the emotional factors driving student choice. In-depth interviews with prospective students revealed that first impressions really do count. Students are deterred by poor physical environments and excited by enthusiastic staff and students. Most significantly, the study revealed the necessity of a restorative servicescape to provide both a sense of escape and feeling of belonging. This paper contributes to broadening the application of the servicescape model and to a greater understanding of the impact of the environment on prospective students, and creates an opportunity to inform policy by providing university marketing decision makers with a better understanding of what constitutes the university environment and what makes it appealing to prospective students.
