El presente documento pretende ser una propuesta de guía para aquellos profesionales de la salud mental que estén actualmente realizando terapia en línea, pero no cuentan con las directrices sobre cómo llevarla acabo de la manera más efectiva posible, acorde a algún documento científico que oriente, mas no necesariamente garantice, su efectividad, sobre todo en los momentos en que está vigente el periodo de cuarentena obligatoria en México debido al Covid-19.
Objetivo. Contrastar factores asociados a la suicidalidad considerando el funcionamiento afectivo familiar, niveles de ansiedad, depresión, ideación suicida, desesperanza y pensamientos automáticos en estudiantes de dos secundarias en Tepic, Nayarit, una pública y otra privada. Método. Mediante muestreo aleatorio probabilístico se seleccionaron 108 participantes de una secundaria pública y 101 estudiantes de secundaria privada, distribuidos de manera uniforme por sexo y grado. Instrumentos aplicados: Datos sociodemográficos, Evaluación del Funcionamiento Familiar, Sensibilidad a la Ansiedad, Escala de Depresión para Adolescentes, Escala de Desesperanza de Beck, Cuestionario de Pensamientos Automáticos y Escala de Suicidalidad de Okasha. Resultados. El 7.4% de estudiantes de escuela pública presentan niveles altos y 6.5% muy altos de suicidalidad. La comparación de medias muestra que estudiantes de secundaria pública tienen puntajes más elevados y significativos en desesperanza (p=.018), sensibilidad en ansiedad (p=.001), ideación suicida (p=.000), suicidalidad (p=.004), sub-escala de Involucramiento Afectivo Disfuncional (p=.006). Los modelos de regresión indican que estar a disgusto consigo mismo es la variable de mayor predicción, apareciendo la separación de los padres como factor del contexto que les afecta. Conclusión. Estudiantes de la secundaria pública presentan en mayor medida, variables asociadas a la suicidalidad. La separación de los padres incide en esta problemática.
La violencia de género es un problema creciente en todo el mundo que ha acaparado la atención de diversos organismos internacionales, como la Organización de las Naciones Unidas, la Organización Mundial de la Salud y la Organización Panamericana de la Salud, y nacionales, como la Comisión Nacional de los Derechos Humanos y otras entidades públicas y privadas. Dicha violencia se ha venido agravando como una consecuencia psicosocial indirecta de los efectos de la pandemia por COVID-19, como es el caso de la relación hombre-mujer en los hogares y espacios públicos y privados. Este trabajo, de tipo documental, tuvo como objetivo analizar, comparar y diferenciar los tipos y diseños de investigación, así como los hallazgos publicados en artículos en revistas de países de habla hispana que muestran los daños a la salud mental de las personas víctimas de la violencia de género, tomando como indicador principal el trastorno de estrés postraumático (TEPT). Tal búsqueda se efectuó mediante el uso del operador booleano “AND” en los buscadores académicos de Scielo, RedALyC, Google Académico y Dialnet en el periodo de 2011 a 2021. Los resultados muestran una alta prevalencia de condiciones afectivas y cognitivas adversas en las víctimas, incluido el TEPT y los intentos de suicidio. El apoyo social percibido favorece la reducción de este problema. Se concluye que existe evidencia reciente suficiente para afirmar que el desarrollo del TEPT es altamente prevalente en aquellas personas que han sufrido crónicamente la violencia de género. El mantenimiento de las conductas tradicionales hacia los roles y estereotipos de género son parte fundamental del inicio y la escalada progresiva de dicha violencia. Se enfatiza la necesidad de generar y aplicar intervenciones terapéuticas eficaces y eficientes que coadyuven a la salud mental de la población vulnerada y, de manera preventiva, al fomento de la deconstrucción del sistema sexo-género-patriarcado en todas las áreas de la vida.
