The purpose of this study was to analyze the financial performance of PT Bata Tbk by using profitability and activity ratios in the period of literature study. The research used the quantitative method and literature review. The research found that financial performances at PT Bata Tbk were less efficient. This could be seen in 2015s financial performance has increased while in 2014 and 2016 have decreased. PT Bata Tbk has failed in planning and developing its business strategy in an effort to obtain maximum profitability. Firm could not evaluate and measure performance standards that had been achieved on the basis of projected financial performance in the past, so that it could affect its customer loyalty and investor confidence levels. Meanwhile frequent fluctuations in the results which were achieved over a period of three years at PT Bata Tbk caused by unbalanced capital use, the management of its assets, and the imbalance between level of sales generated and suppressed cost. A slow inventory turnover rate and the low level of sales had leaded to lower profit level. Keywords: Financial Performance, Profitability Rati, Activity Ratio
This chapter presents the result of research that is motivated by a sense of concern where mathematics learning in the class now has been rarely associated with science lesson. We tried to see the existing phenomenon, then we designed science-based teaching materials of mathematics using that phenomenon as an approach to teaching for students. There are two levels when developing instructional design that is at the level of research conducted in the laboratory of physics, by weighing the sugar and water proportionally, then stirred the sugar solution to obtain a wide range concentration of sugar solutions which are stored in the experiment tubes. This experimental tool is then used to facilitate students learning the relationship between two variables such as sugar concentration is expressed in percent on one hand and sedimentation time (in second) of "a clay ball" on each of the sugar solution on the other hand. Pairs of numbers concentration and sedimentation time of "ball" in each solution were plotted in a Cartesian coordinate. The graph reflects a phenomenon of solution viscosity and sedimentation rate of a ball in a solution that can be aligned with the level of consistency of "blood in our body" and that circulation is disturbed when the blood concentration increases. The results of this study indicate that students have an awareness of the importance of the health while maintaining the concentration of the solution for being drunk and eaten. Suggestion from this research is that the readers could consider that sugary drinks with low concentrations, which still be able to maintain a person's health, are better than the sugary drinks with very high concentration.
The production of good quality of instant mung bean vermicelli was investigated using microwave vacuum drying (15, 22.5, or 30 W g −1 ) and microwave continuous drying (70 Hz). Microwave vacuum drying could generate larger and greater porosity than microwave continuous drying. Vermicelli dried at 30 W g −1 had the shortest rehydration time (2.14 min) and the best cooking quality. Microwave drying provided greater lightness (L*), greenness (a*) and yellowness (b*) for the dried vermicelli and a greater blueness (b*) for the cooked vermicelli. The tensile strength of each vermicelli product was not significantly different, while the elasticity of the commercial vermicelli was higher than other samples. Interestingly, the general acceptance of vermicelli dried at 22.5 and 30 W g −1 reached 7.03 and 7.00, respectively, on a 9-point hedonic scale and was higher than commercial vermicelli. In conclusion, microwave vacuum drying could be advantageously applied in the instant mung bean vermicelli production process due to its short drying and rehydration times and the high acceptability of the final product.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan mahasiswa akan pembuktian konsep-konsep matematika didalam perkuliahan Aljabar Abstrak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian posttest-only kontrol group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika FMIPA UNJ pada tahun akademik 2013/2014 sementara sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik multistage random sampling terpilih kelas eksperimen adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika Reguler Angkatan Tahun 2012/2013, sementara untuk kelas kontrol adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika Non Reguler Angkatan Tahun 2012/2013. Variabel terikat dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan membuktikan konsep matematika mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Aljabar Abstrak dan variable bebas adalah strategi pembelajaran yang terdiri dari strategi abduktif deduktif dan pembelajaran konvensional yang disertai dengan pembekalan pemahaman metode-metode pembuktian matematika. Berdasarkan data hasil post test kemampuan membuktikan konsep Aljabar Abstrak yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan Independent Samples T Test melalui software SPSS 17 diperoleh nilai t = 3,214 dengan db = 55 dan pvalue = 0,001 < 0,05, dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan teruji oleh data, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan membuktikan konsep-konsep Aljabar Abstrak mahasiswa yang diberikan pemahaman metode pembuktian matematika secara eksplisit di awal perkuliahan bersamaan dengan penerapan strategi Abduktif-Deduktif lebih tinggi dari pada mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara konvensional. <p>Cibodas Village, Pasirjambu District, Bandung Regency is a Partner Village for the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology (FALTL) which has a vision of making Cibodas Village an Eco-Village. Waste management is one of the main activities to create an Eco-Village. One of the main problems in waste management is the use of the collect, transport and throw concept that has been entrenched in our society. The community, as a waste producer, is not yet disciplined in disposing of waste in its place and is not accustomed to implementing the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). Activities ranging from preparation to implementation and writing of reports were carried out from June 2020 to August 15, 2020. The forms of activities were counselling and training. The activity took place on time and was attended by around 30 participants. The activity could run well and was followed by extension participants, namely the village youth who were assigned to be facilitators. Surveys conducted on June 2<sup>nd</sup>, 2020, discussed for training preparation, training material and participants. From outreach activities that focus on Counselling on Waste Management and Environmental Cleanliness as Efforts to Prevent Transmission of Infectious Diseases that have been carried out by the PKM Team of the Environmental Engineering Department, FALTL, Trisakti University can broaden facilitators' insights regarding waste management and prevention of transmission of infectious diseases and PKM activities are initial efforts to realize Eco-Village through community empowerment starting with independent waste management through 3Rs and waste banks.</p>
Purple Dioscorea alata is one kind of tuber crops that rich in polyphenolic compounds. In Indonesia, the utilization of this yam is still very limited because it is easily damaged on the fresh form. Due to its high perishability, then the fresh tuber have to be processed into dried materials to expand its utilization. This study investigated the effect of browning inhibition treatments (immersion in water, Na-bisulfite, and ascorbic acid) on moisture, color, anthocyanin, flavonoid and phenolic content, and determined the antioxidant activities of D. alata flour. The moisture content of D. alata flour ranged between 6.89 to 7.71% db, which still in the range of wheat flour moisture content standards using Codex Standard. Browning inhibition treatment improved the color appearances and provided better values on anthocyanin, phenolic, and flavonoid content of D. alata flour. The color and antioxidant activities of D. alata flour were significantly correlated with its functional properties.
Asuransi Jiwa Bersama (selanjutnya disingkat AJB) Bumi Putera merupakan usaha asuransi yang telah lama berdiri sebelum kemerdekaan Indonesia yaitu pada tahun 1912. Usaha asuransi AJB Bumi Putera 1912 tidak sama dengan asuransi jiwa yang lain karena merupakan usaha bersama (mutual). Berkaitan dengan usaha asuransi AJB Bumi Putera ini baru mendapatkan pengaturan pada tahun 2014 dengan terbitnya Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomer 40 Tahun 2014 Tentang Asuransi khususnya diatur pada pasal 6, dan telah dikeluarkan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomer 87 Tahun 2019 Tentang Perusahaan Asuransi Berbentuk Usaha Bersama. Nasabah pemegang polis ini rata-rata tidak memahami bagaimana jenis asuransi dengan usaha bersama ini, karena tidak adanya pengaturan dan kejelasan saat mengikatkan diri dalam suatu polis pada AJB Bumi Putera. Saat ini AJB Bumi Putera tengah mengalami masalah yang sangat serius yaitu gagal bayar klaim asuransi yang nilainya triliunan kepada pemegang polis.Terdapat ketidak pastian hukum terkait kedudukan hukum pemegang polis AJB Bumi Putra 1912. Jika pada asuransi lain memiliki kedudukan sebagai konsumen, akan tetapi khusus untuk AJB Bumi Putera 1912 pemegang polis dianggap sebagai pemilik usaha asuransi yang dapat menikmati keuntungan juga menanggung kerugian dari AJB Bumi Putera sehingga tidak ada kejelasan pula mengenai perlindungan hukum nasabah pemegang polis AJB Bumi Putera. Upaya penyelesaian gagal bayar klaim AJB Bumi putera dapat ditempuh melalui mekanisme Penundaan Kewajiban Pembayaran Utang, likuidasi dan kepailitan.
