Using innovation data derived from the Indonesia Innovation Survey (IIS) 2011, this study investigates the nature and importance of innovation barriers faced by Indonesian manufacturing firms and examines the impact of innovation barriers on product, process, organization and marketing innovation and on innovation performance. Undertaking factor analysis, the study finds that the innovation barriers can be categorized as market and institution barriers, employee and organization attitude barriers, finance and risk barriers, and knowledge and cooperation barriers. Applying logit and tobit regression models, this study shows that barriers related to employee and organization attitude have positive influence on innovation and innovation performance. In contrast, the last two barriers have negative effects on innovation and innovation performance. Financial and risk constraints are perceived by the firms to be the most important barriers. Innovative and non-innovative firms perceive innovation barriers related to lack of information on technology, staff resistance to change, managers resistance to change and organization rigidity, differently.
Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji tingkat literasi keuangan mahasiswa dan karakteristik demografis yang mempengaruhinya. Responden penelitian sejumlah 444 mahasiswa yang berasal dari Fakultas Ekonomi (FE) dan Non Fakultas Ekonomi (Non-FE) di sebuah universitas swasta (PTS) di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dengan indikator literasi keuangan meliputi: basic personal finance, manajemen uang, utang dan kredit, tabungan dan investasi serta manajemen resiko. Metode analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji beda, regresi probit dan tobit. Hasil statistik deskriptif menunjukkan tingkat literasi keuangan mahasiswa relatif rendah, yakni sejumlah 37.79%. Terlebih, hasil studi menunjukkan adanya perbedaan literasi keuangan mahasiswa FE dan Non FE serta tahun angkatan. Literasi keuangan paling tinggi dimiliki oleh mahasiswa FE dengan tahun angkatan 2016. Hasil regresi probit dan tobit menunjukkan tahun angkatan dan disiplin ilmu berpengaruh terhadap literasi keuangan. Implikasi penting dari hasil penelitian adalah peran universitas melalui perumusan kurikulum pembelajaran dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman literasi keuangan mahasiswa, khususnya pada aspek tabungan dan investasi.Abstract. This study examines financial literacy of undergraduate students of a private university in the city of Yogyakarta. The study also investigates demographic factors such as gender, year of enrolment, GPA, major of the study that influence financial literacy. Respondents are 444 students from 5 different faculties. Questionnaires used in the study to collect data on financial literacy indicators that consist of basic personal finance, money management, debt and credit, savings and investment as well as risk management. To analysis the collected data, descriptive statistics, t test, probit and tobit regressions were employed. Descriptive statistic show that the level of student financial literacy is relatively low i.e. 37.79%. T test shows that faculty of economics (FE) students and non-FE students possess different level of financial literacy. The highest level of financial literacy is shown by FE students from 2016 year of enrollment. While, probit and tobit regression shows that year of enrollment and major of the study positively influence financial literacy. An important implication of the study finding is that the role of the university through the formulation of a learning curriculum is needed to improve understanding of student financial literacy, especially in the aspects of savings and investment.
Tujuan utama program ini adalah memberikan pembekalan dan pelatihan mengenai perizinan P-IRT, inovasi produk, pengelolaan keuangan, dan pemasaran produk bagi pemilik industri rumah tangga. Pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan pada 11 dan 12 November 2017 di Balai Desa Tirtoadi, Kecamatan Mlati, Kabupaten Sleman. Pengabdian masyarakat berjalan lancar denganjumlah peserta sebanyak 26 orang dari 30 undangan. Materi yang disampaikan relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta yang sebagian besar menghadapi masalah terkait perizinan P-IRT, inovasi produk, manajemen keuangan, dan pemasaran produk. Pada saat pelaksanaan kegiatan, seluruh peserta aktif dan antusias mengikuti pelatihan hingga akhir sesi. Para peserta berharap agar kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan secara berkesinambungan. Kegiatanpengabdian masyarakat juga bekerja sama dengan pusat kesehatan masyarakat (Puskesmas Mlati II) yang memberikan materi perihal perizinan P-IRT. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta dengan jenis kelamin perempuan (ibuibu) lebih antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan daripada laki-laki. Hal tersebut tercermin dari permintaan peserta agar dilakukan pelatihan secara berkala.
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh fintech payment dan literasi keuangan terhadap perilaku manajemen keuangan mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi UST. Metode untuk mendapatkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan cara melakukan penyebaran kuisioner kepada mahasiswa yang berjumlah 50 responden. Data di analisis menggunakan Regresi Linier Berganda hasil penelitiannya pada Uji t menunjukan variabel (X1) fintech payment berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel (Y) perilaku keuangan, karena memiliki nilai sig 0,00. Sig < alpha jadi 0,00 < 1,738 hasil penelitiannya pada Uji t menunjukan variabel (X1) fintech payment berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel (Y) perilaku keuangan, karena memiliki nilai sig 0,00. Sig < alpha jadi 0,00 < 1,738, untuk variabel (X2) literasi keuangan berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel (Y) perilaku keuangan dengan Sig < alpha jadi 0,00 < 0,619. Sedangkan untuk variabel (X1) Fintech payment dan (X2) Literasi Keuangan secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel (Y) perilaku keuangan dengan sebesar 0,501 dengan signifikasi 0,003. This study aims to investigate the effect of disclosure, ownership concentration and diversification on the cost of equity capital among non-financial Indonesian firms using IDX data during 2010-2014 periods. This study involves both mandatory and voluntary disclosure that distinguished from previous studies in the context of Indonesia that tend to use only mandatory or voluntary disclosure. This study shows that the disclosure and the concentration of ownership significantly and negativey influence the cost of equity capital. Both mandatory and voluntary disclosure tend to have negative impact on the cost of equity capital. It turns out that the mandatory disclosure has a greater influence on the cost of equity capital than the voluntary disclosure. While, business diversification, that are measured by Herfindahl Index and the number of business segments, significantly and positively affect the cost of equity capital. Lastly, relevant theoretical and practical implications are drawn from this study.
