A ideia de ensino de ciências como prática social tem sido exposta por diferentes pesquisadores da área e sustenta-se na concepção filosófica sobre a atividade científica como uma prática social. Assim, nessa compreensão consideramos a construção de entendimentos em sala de aula por meio das interações sociais. Neste texto, buscamos expor as relações entre o ensino de ciências como prática social e os domínios do conhecimento científico. Para isso, expomos e discutimos fundamentos filosóficos sobre a ciência como prática social, a partir das ideias de Helen Longino, e fundamentos educacionais sobre os domínios do conhecimento científico em sala de aula, por meio de proposições de Richard Duschl e David Stroupe. Entendemos que a transposição das normas sociais do conhecimento científico para a sala de aula implica na mobilização de todos os domínios, pois os estudantes possuiriam abertura para negociarem, i) compreendendo como sabem o que sabem (epistêmico), ii) reproduzindo normas, rotinas e valores (social), iii) incorporando ferramentas e recursos no processo de legitimação desses conhecimentos (material), e iv) construindo o conceito estudado (conceitual). Dessa forma, o ensino de ciências como prática social só se sustenta quando são considerados os domínios do conhecimento científico em sala de aula. Entendemos que as ideias apresentadas ao longo deste artigo podem contribuir para estudos da área de pesquisa em Educação em Ciências acerca de modos de avaliar ações e processos em que o currículo e o planejamento consideram elementos para além do domínio conceitual, trazendo, por isso, abertura para a explicitação da ciência como área de conhecimento.
Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem praticado no âmbito dos dois cursos de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas, em duas Instituições Federais de Ensino Superior (IFES), na cidade de Floriano, Piauí, Brasil, a partir da visão de docentes e discentes, a respeito dos métodos de ensino utilizados nas disciplinas, identificando os mais utilizados e o modo como estes facilitaram e/ou dificultaram a aprendizagem. Para isso, buscamos embasamento em referencial teórico que tece discussões e reflexões sobre métodos de ensino e recursos didáticos e importância no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. O instrumento utilizado para a coleta de dados foram questionários semiestruturados aplicados com 32 discentes e 15 docentes. Os dados foram posteriormente organizados e analisados a partir da análise de conteúdo. Os principais resultados apontaram uma contradição de que, apesar da aula expositiva ser considerada por muitos discentes como um método de ensino eficaz, é também um dos que mais recebe críticas e que menos desperta interesse nos alunos; as aulas práticas, sejam elas de campo ou em laboratório, proporcionam aos discentes uma melhor compreensão do assunto visto nas aulas expositivas, e está entre os métodos mais bem aceitos; alguns professores, por sua vez, consideram que a discussão de artigos e/ou debates são métodos que despertam interesse nos alunos e estes estão diversificando suas aulas através do uso de aulas práticas, vídeos e grupos de discussão. Podemos inferir que na formação inicial tanto os docentes quanto os métodos de ensino utilizados por estes podem influenciar na formulação de um exemplo do ser docente em algum momento do exercício profissional dos licenciados. Neste artigo teórico apresentamos uma ferramenta analítica construída a partir de referenciais que defendem a aprendizagem a partir da constituição de comunidades de prática (Lave & Wenger, 1991; Wenger, 2016; Wenger, McDermot, & Snyder, 2016) e do desenvolvimento de práticas científicas (Duschl, 2008; Stroupe, 2014). A elaboração da ferramenta aconteceu por processo de estudos bibliográficos e proposição de relações entre eles considerando o contexto de formação inicial de professores que ensinarão Ciências. A ferramenta “Comunidades de Práticas Locais do Ensino de Ciências” (CoPLEC) foi proposta a partir de questões que perpassam elementos importantes destacados nos estudos sobre comunidades de prática e sobre ensino de ciências como prática social. Estas questões tratam das finalidades das atividades de estágio expressas pelos estudantes; do envolvimento coletivo, compartilhamento e legitimação de práticas e normas sociais ocorridas em estágio; dos conhecimentos considerados, partilhados e legitimados no desenvolvimento das atividades; e dos recursos utilizados durante planejamento e realização do estágio. A partir da proposição da ferramenta deve ser possível caracterizar e analisar o envolvimento de licenciandos em comunidades de prática durante o estágio em ensino de ciências.
Esse trabalho de natureza qualitativa, parte integrante de uma dissertação de mestrado, tem como objetivo apresentar uma análise do contexto no qual surgiu a política pública de educação ambiental – COM-VIDA, bem como apresentar os princípios teóricos e aspectos metodológicos que a regem e, para atingirmos tal objetivo, buscamos fazer análise das duas versões da publicação oficial, uma de 2004 e outra de 2007. A partir do estudo podemos afirmar que a COM-VIDA, criada em 2003, emergiu durante a implementação de uma política nacional que propunha uma educação básica envolvendo os estados e municípios e a sociedade civil. Os seus princípios teóricos estão embasados em propostas de Freire e Freinet e os aspectos metodológicos podem incentivar o protagonismo juvenil. O texto oficial que apresenta a política é formado por partes prescritivas, mas também oferecem aos sujeitos a possibilidade de desenvolverem ações de acordo com a sua realidade.
