O objetivo foi avaliar o grau de conhecimento de gestantes quanto aos cuidados odontológicos que devem ser tomados durante a gravidez e os cuidados para com os recém-nascidos. Foram entrevistadas 50 gestantes para coletar dados de acordo com um questionário semi-aberto dividido em três partes: caracterização sócio-econômica, dados sobre os cuidados para com a gestante e informações a respeito dos cuidados bucais quanto ao recém nascido. A idade das gestantes variou de 16 e 46 anos, 16% delas eram solteiras e 76% casadas, a renda familiar variou de 1 a 4 salários mínimos, 36% realizavam algum tratamento odontológico durante a gravidez, 76% acreditavam que poderiam receber tratamento odontológico na gravidez, 48% acreditava que na gravidez o número de cáries aumentava e 78% afirmava realizar a higiene bucal corretamente. Quanto aos cuidados odontológicos do bebê, 4% acreditavam que os dentes decíduos não deveriam ser cuidados como os permanentes, 30% que o uso de mamadeira estava correto, todas afirmaram que a chupeta era prejudicial e 46% delas receberam informação quanto à higiene do bebê. Portanto, observou-se que as gestantes estão sendo esclarecidas quanto ao cuidado odontológico próprio e do bebê, mas ainda existem dúvidas e falta de aplicação destes conhecimentos. Este artigo é um recorte de uma pesquisa de mestrado concluída em 2020 e tem o objetivo de realizar um levantamento das legislações que versam sobre o Educação Superior, tomando como ponto de partida a Constituição Federal de 1988, por ser a lei máxima do nosso país e pela sua relevância acerca das políticas públicas. A partir de uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo e com base na pesquisa documental e bibliográfica realizou-se um apanhado das principais legislações que vem regulamentando o Ensino Superior.
