AbstractThe paper aims to assess the Information Technologies (IT) related to two companies, which supply logistics services to a telecommunication company, through a set of attributes of IT assessment from the literature review. The multiple case study method was applied with a qualitative approach, and semi structured interviews with a 3PL Provider and a carrier in the same sector (telecommunication). Regard to the issues, the ITs assessed by respondents had better performance in the operational attributes. This happened because the ITs that were evaluated (Warehouse Management System -WMS e Transportation Management System -TMS) are used in logistic activities, which are operational enough, and because the companies implemented them a long time ago. We also perceived that the ITs assessment was influenced by their utility for the companies' operations.
