O presente estudo objetivou avaliar a possibilidade do CRISPR-Cas9 na terapia gênica do câncer de pulmão, por meio do conhecimento do mecanismo da CRISPR-Cas e da sua utilização no tratamento do câncer de pulmão. Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura de aspecto descritivo. Foram excluídas as publicações e artigos repetidos que não eram relacionadas ao tema, totalizando 22 referências e tendo como 41 referências que constituem o presente trabalho, retiradas no site da National Center for Biotecnology Information (NCBI), na base de dados PubMed. Foram utilizados os descritores: CRISPR/Cas9, Lung Cancer, Gene therapy, gene edition, adaptive immunity, após foram catalogadas e submetidas a análise. Estudos de artigos referentes à terapia gênica, através da utilização do CRISPR-Cas9, demonstraram diversas possibilidades de utilização do sistema para o tratamento de tumores, indicando um possível tratamento do câncer de pulmão pelo sistema CRISPR-Cas9, dependendo somente de pesquisa e estudos. O sistema CRISPR-Cas9 pode ser considerado a tecnologia do século, por proporcionar uma plataforma adequada para o desenvolvimento de pesquisas relacionadas aos adenocarcinomas em condições in vivo e in vitro e trazer diversas possibilidades para tratar o câncer de pulmão com base na terapia gênica.
Objetivo: Este estudo objetivou avaliar as diferenças das médias de selênio, coenzima Q10 (CoQ10), status total antioxidante (STA), L-carnitina e glutationa peroxidase (GPx), comparando portadores de fenilcetonúria a indivíduos saudáveis, por meio de uma revisão sistemática e metanálise. Métodos: Para tal pesquisa foram selecionados 24 artigos, nas bases de dados PubMed e LILACS, 15 contribuíram com dados para as análises estatísticas, realizadas com o auxílio do software BioEstat® 5.3. Resultados: Todos os resultados referentes às concentrações séricas, demonstraram redução em fenilcetonúricos quando comparados com indivíduos saudáveis: selênio de 0,5 vez menor; CoQ10 com média de 0,08 vez menor; STA com média das diferenças de 0,15 vez menor; L-carnitina livre com média igual 7,8 vezes menor e GPx com concentração 1 vez menor. Em todas as médias a significância foi evidente, com p<0,0001. Considerações finais: É explícito a necessidade de uma suplementação nutricional, como tratamento coadjuvante a dieta restritiva, com o objetivo de evitar danos às membranas celulares e ao material genético.
A fenilcetonúria é uma doença autossômica recessiva e indivíduos portadores de tal doença apresentam carência nutricional devido a dieta restritiva. O trabalho teve por objetivo, apontar as principais carências nutricionais em portadores de fenilcetonúria aderentes a dieta restritiva e verificar se há relação com o estresse oxidativo. Trata-se de revisão da literatura de aspecto descritivo, onde por meio dos descritores foram a priori selecionadas referências, que, após a leitura resultou em 27 utilizadas neste trabalho. Foram extraídos dados de 11 artigos referentes às seguintes comparações séricas entre fenilcetonúricos e indivíduos sadios: selênio, L-carnitina, coenzima Q10 e glutationa peroxidase (GPx). Dados de artigos referentes ao selênio, demonstraram diminuição em fenilcetonúricos, da mesma forma com L-carnitina e GPx, os quais em todos estudos houve redução sérica. Apenas a coenzima Q10 demonstrou uma divergência, com maior média em fenilcetonúricos aderentes a dieta. A exclusão de alimentos ricos em fenilalanina tem como consequência a carência nutricional, reduzindo a capacidade antioxidante, evidenciando a importância da adição destes nutrientes nas fórmulas alimentares de fenilcetonúricos ou a suplementação como tratamento coadjuvante à dieta restritiva.
