Novel chiral oxazolyl alanine and homologues are synthesized and utilized as building blocks for the solid-phase parallel synthesis of novel trifunctional oxazole small molecules in good to excellent overall yields and with high purity. The orthogonal deprotection strategy of oxazolyl amino acids, prepared from serine methyl ester and amino acids such as aspartic and glutamic acids, allows multiple sites of diversification to make a variety of pharmacologically relevant small molecules. The general nature of this approach allows the preparation of a large number of small molecules and peptidomimetics.
The first Cu-catalyzed asymmetric allylic C–H amination of alkenes with N-aryl hydroxylamines has been developed. Metal-complexes isolation, ESI-MS analysis and the DFT calculations provided key insights on mechanistic pathway.
Although the domains of cis-acyltransferase (cis-AT) modular polyketides synthases (PKSs) have been understood at atomic resolution for over a decade, the domain-domain interactions responsible for the architectures and activities of these giant molecular assembly lines remain largely uncharacterized. The multimeric structure of the α6β6 fungal fatty acid synthase (FAS) provides 6 equivalent reaction chambers for its acyl carrier protein (ACP) domains to shuttle carbon building blocks and the growing acyl chain between surrounding, oriented enzymatic domains. The presumed homodimeric oligomerization of cis-AT assembly lines is insufficient to provide similar reaction chambers; however, the crystal structure of a ketosynthase (KS)+AT didomain presented here and three already reported show an interaction between the AT domains appropriate for lateral multimerization. This interaction was used to construct a scaffold for the pikromycin PKS from its KS, AT, and docking domains that contains highly-ordered reaction chambers. Its AT domains also mediate vertical interactions, both with upstream KS domains and downstream docking domains.
Introduction: Intraocular pressure (IOP) increases when changing from sitting to supine position with an average di erence of 0.3 to 6.0mm of Hg. ese postural changes of IOP have been found in normal persons, patients with ocular hypertension and normal tension glaucoma. e eye is relatively non-distensible, even small changes in the volume of aqueous humor may signi cantly change IOP. e increase in resistance in aqueous ow is thought to be the reason for higher IOP in supine compared to sitting position.
A study was conducted to find-out the optimum seed rate for wheat-based mixed cropping patterns in the research field of the Directorate of Agricultural Research, Bhagetada Doti. The field experiment was conducted in the two consecutive winters of 2019-20 and 2020-21. The recommended seed rate of wheat (120 kg/ha) was considered a check, and the wheat seed rate was reduced by 20, 30, and 40%, respectively, for pea, lentil, and gram, to generate different mixed cropping combinations. The mixed crops were broadcasted together with wheat during wheat sowing time. Chemical fertilizer was applied at the rate of 80:40:30 kg NPK ha-1 at the time of seed sowing, and no additional fertilizers were supplied to the mixed crops. The results revealed that the combination of lentils (30%) and wheat (70%) were found to be the most profitable and recorded the maximum wheat equivalent yield followed by the combinations of toria (30%) + wheat (70%) and toria (20%) + wheat (80%) in our study.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
