A working conference on Demonstration Lectures, sponsored by the American Association of Physics Teachers and supported by the National Science Foundation, was held at Wesleyan University June 22–24, 1959. A list of participants appears in a report of the activities of this conference, written by B. F. Wissler, which was published in Physics Today for November, 1959. The complete Proceedings of the Conference have been printed and copies sent to chairmen of all college departments of physics. A still wider distribution is desirable and anyone wishing a copy may secure it by writing to Professor V. E. Eaton, Scott Laboratory, Middletown, Connecticut. The Conference committee on Summary and Recommendations, composed of V. E. Bollman, Occidental College, T. E. Manning, Oberlin College, and M. W. Zemansky, City College of New York, prepared a document which was mailed to all conference members. This article is their report as revised by the Editorial Committee in the light of comments and suggestions received from the conference members and condensed somewhat for publication in the Journal.
