We investigate the application of wavelet transforms in the detection and estimation of spread spectrum frequency hopping signals. The technique developed in this work makes only two basic assumptions of a minimum hopping time and a minimum frequency hopping differential. The approach is based on the phase information of the temporal colrelation function and the resulting discrete wavelet transfoini of the phase information is used to estimate the hopping time of frequency hopping signals. Results show the proposed scheme is robust to additive white noise dcgxadations for SNR levels of 3 dB and above.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
