Im Beitrag wird über die Ergebnisse der Evaluation des Berliner Krisendienstes berichtet. Seit 2000 gibt es in Berlin eine umfassende Krisenversorgung, die in der Modellphase wissenschaftlich begleitet wurde. Der Auftrag und das Konzept des Dienstes werden kurz beschrieben. Vorgestellt werden auch die Grundüberlegungen zum Design der Begleituntersuchung und ein Überblick über die vielfältigen Einzeluntersuchungen. Die Darstellung der Ergebnisse konzentriert sich auf die Charakterisierung der Hilfesuchenden, ihre Problematik und auf die Bewertung der Kriseninterventionen durch das Klientel und durch Professionelle aus den jeweiligen Regionen. Die Bedeutung des Krisendienstes für das regionale Versorgungssystem wird aufgezeigt. Anhand von Befunden über die Art der Gesprächsführung wird gezeigt, dass sich Parallelen zu Ergebnissen der neueren Psychotherapieforschung aufweisen lassen. Zum Abschluss wird das Verhältnis von Krisendienst und psychotherapeutischer Versorgung auf dem Hintergrund der Befunde diskutiert. Es zeigt sich, dass es aus vielerlei Gründen für beide Systeme wichtig ist, aufeinander verweisen zu können.
