Many drugs have been used for therapeutic purposes in Ayurveda since the Vedic period, and they are either of plant (Sthavar Udbhava), animal (Jangam Udbhava), or metal, mineral (Khanija) origin. After the period of Acharya Nagarjuna, the use of metals, minerals, and poisonous drugs became prevalent. Agada Tantra is a branch of Ayurveda that deals with the treatment of various poisons. Toxicology is concerned with the identification and management of various types of poisons, including those derived from plants and animals. Various poisons have been described, and various antidotes for their management have been mentioned in Agada Tantra texts. A poison is a substance that, when introduced into or applied to the body, has the potential to harm or destroy life. It causes tissue damage, illness, or death in the organism. Visha is the substance that causes sadness in the world. It was given the name Visha because it makes the rest of the world despair. It damages tissues and causes illness or death in the organism. The drugs known as antidotes are used to neutralise or disable the effects of poison. As we can see from the current paper, antidotes play an essential role in the treatment of poisoning. A doctor's primary goal is to preserve the patient's life. For proper treatment, the concept of Prativisha, which has been around since the past, needs to be expanded upon, clarified, updated, and narrated.
Vicharchika is a vata-kapha predominant tridoshaja vikar. Kapha Dosha is most dominant Dosha in Vicharchika. It can be easily treated by both shodhana and shamana chikitsa. Many preparations have been mentioned in the Ayurvedic texts for the treatment of Vicharchika. In Kushtha especially in Vicharchika external application is very much important. Vicharchikari tail drug has been selected with the reference of Bhaisjya ratnavali Kshudra rogadhikara. The main objective of this review article is to discuss the therapeutic uses of Vicharchikari tail and to discuss the different pharmacological properties and therapeutic uses of isolated constituent drugs of Vicharchikari tail. The selected drug Vicharchikari tail is found to be very effective on Vicharchika. Vicharchikari tail help in eliminating symptoms of Vicharchika like Kandu, Srava,and Pidika. Vicharchikari tail has Ushna and Tikshana properties. These Gunas are effective on vitiated Kapha and normalize it. The present review attempts to encompass the up to date comprehensive literature analysis on Vicharchikari tail with respect to its therapeutic uses and its various pharmacological activities.

Various diseases can be treated and managed with plants, and they have been utilized in many nations to cure a variety of disease situations. Plants have therapeutic potential because of their bioactive phytochemical components, which have specific physiological effects on living things. Many therapeutic plants include chemical components that, when ingested in large doses, may have adverse effects on individuals. Despite having medical properties, plants with high concentrations of alkaloids could become poisonous. One of the well-known folk medicines with widespread use is Datura, a member of the Solanaceae family, also known as Jimson weed and as "Jaozmasel" in Arabic. Chemical analysis of this plant revealed its components as alkaloids, carbohydrates, and proteins, among which alkaloids including scopolamine, hyoscyamine, and atropine are the main active ingredients that exhibit various activities, such as anti-asthmatic. In addition to being used medicinally, Datura is one of the most abused plants in the world due to its widespread availability, particularly in Africa, Southeast Asia, and India, where it is primarily used for spiritual or religious purposes and has a much higher rate of negative reports than other psychoactive substances. When used excessively or abused, it can have poisonous side effects including delirium, mydriasis, mental disorientation, psychosis, and even violent conduct. In this review, various decorative appeal of the medicinal value of Datura has been mentioned along with its medico legal importance.
Hair plays a vital role in the personality of human and for their care we use lots of cosmetic products. The fading (pigmentation problem), dandruff, alopecia (loss of hair) is the major problem associated with hairs. It is said that face is the mirror of our personality and it should be maintained from the hairstyle we keep. In today's developing world there are lots changes in the eating habits and the lifestyle. This is a case report of 28 years female with complaint of Hair loss for 1 year. Patient was treated with ayurvedic preparations for 2 months. Decrease in hair fall was achieved successfully. Patient felt relieved of itching and redness of scalp also. This case study reveals the potential of Ayurvedic management of Hair fall.
