Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine and metabolic conditions in childbearing women. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is characterized by hyperandrogenism, ovulatory dysfunction, and morphology of polycystic ovaries. Clinical signs of hyperandrogenism include hirsutism, acne, and alopecia. Acne is a chronic, inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous unit that may have a severe impact on an individual's life. The objective of this review is to highlight the treatment options for female patients with acne associated with PCOS.
