A saúde mental no trabalho vem ao longo dos anos ganhando espaço nas propostas de políticas de atenção aos servidores públicos, especialmente no contexto da educação profissional e tecnológica, com a inserção de profissionais da área de saúde nessas instituições. O referencial teórico-metodológico que fundamentou a intervenção foi a Psicodinâmica do Trabalho, especialmente a Clínica Psicodinâmica do Trabalho, enfocando a relação entre saúde mental e trabalho. O objetivo deste trabalho foi relatar a realização dessa intervenção no âmbito de um instituto federal localizado na região amazônica. Para tanto, foram realizados três encontros, no formato de oficinas, com cinquenta e oito participantes. As temáticas abordadas foram relacionamento interpessoal no trabalho, ética no serviço público e trabalho em equipe. Os resultados revelaram que a intervenção realizada possibilitou identificar e discutir aspectos relevantes da organização do trabalho e das percepções e vivências em relação ao trabalho dos servidores, que podem influenciar no processo de saúde e adoecimento mental. Desse modo, concluiu-se que é cogente, nesses espaços, a realização de ações e programas, que oportunizem espaços de fala e escuta entre os trabalhadores sobre suas vivências relacionadas ao trabalho, com foco em abordar e promover saúde mental no setor público.
