A dengue é uma arbovirose originada do vírus da família Flaviviridae, considerado altamente tóxico às células do fígado. Com a disseminação dessa enfermidade os órgãos públicos de saúde elaboraram um protocolo visando tratar seus sintomas, já que não existe, atualmente, medicamento que combata o vírus. Estas orientações incluem o uso do acetaminofeno como principal fármaco no combate aos sintomas, descrito como seguro e eficaz. Entretanto, pesquisas demostram que durante o processo de absorção do acetoaminofeno são gerados metabólitos altamente tóxicos que podem causar sérios danos degenerativos aos hepatócitos, em casos de superdosagem. Com objetivo de demonstrar a relação entre o uso do acetaminofeno e sua hepatotoxicidade em casos de dengue realizou-se uma revisão de literatura, em bancos de dados, que serviram de subsídios para maior esclarecimento do tema.
Analisa as condições dos RSS em um Laboratório, na busca de minimizar as não conformidades, reduzindo acidentes ocupacionais e impactos gerados ao meio ambiente, a partir de medidas eficazes de biossegurança estabelecidas pelo Plano de Gerenciamento de Resíduos de Serviços de Saúde (PGRSS). Ainda propõe procedimentos característicos de uma pesquisa ação, cuja revisão bibliográfica foi baseada nas legislações em vigor, resoluções e normas que fundamentam o desenvolvimento do trabalho. Foram aplicados questionários aos funcionários do laboratório na tentativa de avaliar os conhecimentos sobre o assunto. Percebeu-se que as deficiências existem, evidenciando a necessidade emergencial de implantação do PGRSS.
