Many housing hills are developed in Semarang, this location is far from urban areas, there is still a lot of green land, making this location quite attractive to many city people. Although in terms of accessibility it is far from the city center, but the environmental conditions still tend to be comfortable to live in. With a fairly steep slope of the land, there are many impacts on the quality of the building. There were many discrepancies in the planning process which later became a residential environment whose climatic conditions were still very comfortable, but then had to use a lot of energy to create cooler air conditioning. This practical effort is not in line with the architectural design of the building which makes researchers intend to see the condition of thermal comfort in the residential area of Violan Jay Aini Hill.With measurements taken directly at 10 houses with types 36, 45 and 65 the time range from 05.00 to 22.00 for several days in several houses by looking at 3 points on the part of the house, namely the terrace, family room, and bedroom.From research conducted on 10 residential houses in hilly areas that are comfortable to live in, looking at the thermal comfort of climatic factors as measured by Wind Speed, Air Humidity, Air Temperature and Radiation in December 2019, it can be seen that on the terrace of the house, bedroom, and family rooms tend to be optimally comfortable.Abstrak: perumahan perbukitan banyak dikembangkan di semarang, lokasinya yang cuku jauh dari perkotaan, masih banyaknya lahan hijau, menjadikan lokasi ini cukup diminati oleh banyak masyarakat kota. Meski dari sisi aksesibilitias jauh dari pusat kota, namun kondisi iklim perumahan masih cenderung nyaman untuk ditinggali. Dengan kemiringan lahan yang cukup curam, banyak dampak yang terjadi pada kualitas bangunan. Banyak ketidak sesuaian dalam proses perancangan pemukiman yang kemudian menjadi lingkungan perumahan yang kondisi iklimnya masih sangat nyaman, namun justru kemudian harus banyak menggunakan energi untuk menciptakan pengkondisian udara yang lebih sejuk. Upaya praktis ini yang tidak sejalan dengan desain arsitektural bangunan yang membuat peneliti bermaksud untuk melihat kondisi kenyamanan termal pada daerah perumahan bukit violan jay aini.Dengan pengukuran yang diambil langsung pada 10 rumah dengan tipe 36, 45 dan 65 rentang waktu pukul 05.00 hingga 22.00 selama beberapa hari di beberapa rumah dengan melihat 3 titik pada bagian rumah yaitu teras, ruang keluarga dan juga ruang tidur.Dari penelitian yang dilakukan pada 10 rumah perumahan di daerah perbukitan nyaman untuk ditinggali, melihat kenyamanan thermal dari faktor iklim yang diukur melalui Kecepatan Angin, Kelembapan Udara, Suhu Udara dan Suhu Radiasi pada bulan Desember 2019 lalu dapat dilihat bahwa di teras rumah, ruang tidur, dan ruang keluarga cenderung nyaman optimal.
