This study presents a comparative analysis of passengers preference and satisfaction of two kinds of public transportation in Malaysia, namely, train commuter (KTM) and Light Rail Transit (LRT). One of the important issues regarding public transport is the passenger satisfaction. The main objective of this research is to describe traveler's satisfaction and preference towards public transport with service quality attributes. Parameters in passenger preference and satisfaction on public transportation network are facilities, comfortness and quality of services. A survey was conducted public transportation network in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia through a self questionnaire. They were 312 respondents voluntarily participated in this study. Result showed that passenger's preference and satisfaction in the LRT services are better than Komuter. The application of this study suggested Komuter service need to improve their quality of service to attract more passengers.
The environment where a person lives has a significant impact on his or her development. The present paper reports results of the study on effect of geographic characteristic to quality of life and happiness in Malaysia. The data were gotten from a Selangor and Klang Valley states study based on a representative sample in the Malaysia. The objective of the study is to detection of influencing parameters of quality of life and happiness in term of geographic characteristic. Data was collected through interview using a set of questionnaire and analyzed using the SPSS program. The results of the study showed that based on the area of residence there is no significant difference on overall QOL mean scores. In contrast to there is significant difference in the mean scores by gender. Subsequently, Based on area of residence, the study found that there is a significant difference in mean QOL scores faces, enrich QOL, QOL and QOL enjoy stress among respondents living in cities, towns and rural areas. Achievement QOL mean score faces, enrich and enjoy the QOL respondents living dibandar and overcome rural town. QOL mean scores achieved for the control of stress respondents living in the rural areas is higher than those living in cities and towns. Finally, the results showed a significant positive correlation between overall QOL with six dimensions happiness.

Purposive sampling method was utilized to collect data in Selangor and Kelang Vally, Malaysia. Data were collected through interview using a set of questionnaire and analyzed using the SPSS program. The results of the study showed that in terms of public amenities and physical surroundings, the most persons used own car to attend personal and family matters such as clinic and programme. On the other hand, the most safety elements which persons employed to protect their house and family were installing door and window grilles, lights on and informing neighbor when going out for the whole night or longer.
The present paper reports results of the study on effect of socio-demographic characteristic to Quality of Life (QOL) and marital happiness in Malaysia. The sample was drawn from Selangor state and Klang Valley. The objective of the study is to determine the influence socio-demographic parameters on quality of life and happiness among Malaysian household who live in sub-urban and rural area. Data was collected through interview using a set of questionnaire asking about their perception towards quality of life and happiness. The results of the study showed that area of residence was no significant effect on the overall QOL. In contrast there was significant effects of gender where by men tend to 27% woman. Subsequently, Based on area of residence, the study found that there is a significant difference in mean QOL scores FACES, ENRICH QOL, QOL and QOL enjoy stress among respondents living in cities, towns and rural areas. Achievement QOL mean score faces, enrich and enjoy the QOL respondents living and overcome rural town. QOL mean scores achieved for the control of stress respondents living in the rural areas is higher than those living in cities and towns. Finally, the results showed a significant positive correlation between overall QOL with six dimensions happiness.
