El movimiento de arte comunitario avanza con fuerza mediante los sinónimos de arte callejero, graffiti, pos-graffiti, arte urbano o art-like. La relación del arte callejero y el turismo se ve ligado desde las formas conceptuales hasta los turistas que se unen a la transmisión de percepciones históricas, demandas populares o alegrías colectivas. El propósito de este artículo es aclarar qué tipo de influencia tiene el turismo en el arte en le comunidad local desde la perspectiva de sociedad turística, utilizando el caso del turismo artístico en Guayaquil, Guayas-Ecuador. La generación y el consumo del arte callejero en Guayaquil está impulsado no sólo por la lógica de la estética, sino para la lógica del turismo. A partir de aquí, queda claro que el surgimiento de “art-like” no implica críticas en el campo del turismo, sino que está sacudiendo el concepto de arte que se ha asumido en la investigación convencional.
