In this study the static analysis of a single stage hydraulic cylinder is considered. A complete theoretical model is developed that allows the consideration of all the factors that affect the statics of a hydraulic cylinder in its action as a compression member. The scheme is based on the classical Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, and makes detailed account of all the loadings present, and of the various types of boundary conditions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
