Palabras Clave: Producción Científica, Artículos científicos, Publicación, Revistas Indexadas ABSTRACT Diffusion of knowledge generated in the different research processes is a permanent concern for Ecuadorian Higher Education. ABSTRACT Higher Education in Ecuador has been experiencing qualitative and quantitative positive changes associated with its operational and functional performance. This is the reason why the Catholic University of Cuenca (UCACUE), particularly, the Systems Engineering Career in Azogues, in an effort to meet the standards mandated by the Higher Education Council in Ecuador (CES), through new Academic Regulations (2014), has started a curricular, administrative and financial redesigning process with the purpose of demonstrating that the new fields of study offered by the University are in close synergy with national, regional and local plans.
