Os avanços científicos no ramo dos materiais dentários vêm permitindo mimetizar a policromia dos dentes naturais, por meio de materiais diretos e indiretos. O uso das resinas compostas diretas tem permitido resultados de excelência, com um bom custo-benefício, quando comparadas com as porcelanas. Objetivo: Descrever um caso clínico de reanatomização dos dentes anterossuperiores e aumento de borda incisal com uso de resinas compostas de efeito, em que as características peculiares ao terço incisal foram aplicadas fielmente. Relato de caso: Paciente, 27 anos, procurou atendimento especializado relatando insatisfação com a estética dos dentes que compõem a linha anterossuperior do sorriso. Durante avaliação observaram-se presença de diastema, restauração deficiente, irregularidades nas bordas incisais, bem como pigmentação extrínseca no terço cervical dos dentes. O tratamento proposto consistiu no clareamento dentário de consultório prévio ao protocolo restaurador com a técnica direta em resina composta. Após o clareamento dentário, obtiveram-se os modelos de estudo; em seguida, fizeram-se enceramento diagnóstico e guia de silicona. Foram utilizadas resinas compostas nano-híbridas, realizando a técnica de estratificação para mimetizar a policromia dos elementos dentários. Conclusão: Diante dos resultados alcançados, fica claro o avanço constante que as resinas compostas vêm sofrendo no intuito de mimetizar a naturalidade policromática da estrutura dentária, sendo fundamental o conhecimento técnico e também sobre os materiais odontológicos.
