Abstract: Maritime transport is growing in the world and consequently the demand for port operations is also growing. Thus, port operators seek to minimize the time that the ships expend at the port. To berth a ship, ports have to provide several resources. So, plan the resource allocation efficiently to avoid a delay on the ships' berthing time is vital to the ports. This allocation is dynamic because delays and anticipations occur in the ships' arrival time by several factors, leading to a constantly update of the berthing date. This paper proposes a Multiagent System (MAS) to solve the resource allocation in a distributed way and in real time, seeking the reduction of the ships' waiting time for berthing. Tests were done in 27 scenarios and the results showed that the MAS solved big instances in a short time and with stable solutions. Keywords: distributed artificial intelligence, planning port operation, multiagents systems.
