Today, ready access to authentic information about the calorie and nutrient content of food is important, given the prevalence of obesity and diet-related diseasesas per the FDA web source. The outrage mapped in the Warning Letters include unauthorized health claims, unauthorized nutrient content claims, and the unauthorized use of terms such as “healthy,” and others that have strict, regulatory denitions. This study is a novel attempt to assess the consumer seeking information about healthfulness using structured questionnaire and factor analysis as a tool measure the outcome.
