Background: Vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) are considered one of the main causes of sicknesses and deaths among children all over the world, parents' knowledge and attitude towards immunization are likely influence uptake, vaccination is one of the most cost-effective public health tools to prevent infectious diseases. Objective: This study aimed to assess knowledge, attitude and practice of mothers' toward children's obligatory vaccination Design: Cross-sectional survey was utilized; the study was conducted through mother's home visits at Damietta Governorate. The sampling method used was the cluster sampling approach promoted by the World Health Organization, Total number of the cluster was 30 clusters and 7 mothers from each cluster. The first house visited in each cluster was selected randomly according to availability of household list. Total number of mothers sample was 210 from 5 districts (1050 mothers). Four structured interviewing sheets were used to assess socio-demographic data, knowledge, attitude and practice of mothers toward obligatory vaccination. The data were analyzed using SPSS (Stand for statistical product and service solutions) version 16. Results: revealed that there was a positive statistically significant correlation between knowledge and practice of the studied mothers. Conclusion: less than half of the studied mothers had poor knowledge score while less than one third had good score, more than two thirds of the studied mothers had good attitude score while the minority had poor attitude score, and more than one third of mothers had good practice while one quarter had poor practice

Across the world, traffic accidents cause major health problems and are of concern to health institutions; nearly 1.35 million people are killed or disabled in traffic accidents every year. In 2019, 93% of road traffic injury‐related mortality occurred in low‐ and middle‐income countries with an estimated burden of 1.3 million deaths. This issue is growing; by 2030, road traffic injuries will be the seventh leading cause of death globally. The present report highlights an overview of road traffic accidents, accidental injuries, and deaths, associated risk factors, important precautions, safety rules, and counteracting management strategies. In modern cultures, road accidents are a major source of death and serious injuries. Road traffic injuries are a substantial yet underserved public health issue around the world that requires immediate attention. To prevent accidents in the long term, it is essential to adopt conservative preventive measures that can minimize collisions and promote a safe road environment.

Background: Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer and the second cause of cancer deaths in women worldwide as well as in Nigeria .The incidence of the disease appears to be rising faster in a population groups which had hitherto enjoyed low incidence, with the peak age of breast cancer in Nigerian women being about ten years earlier than Caucasians Aim: This study investigated the practice of BSE and its possible barriers among women in a rural community in South Western area of Oyo State; Nigeria.Study design: The study utilized Participatory Action Research (PAR) design using purposive and cross sectional sampling technique for survey and 95 women for the focus group discussion. The PAR framework involves four phases: Observe, Reflect, Plan and Act. Structured questionnaire was used for phase one, and A -3 session FGD was used for phases on Reflect and Plan. Data was analyzed using the SPSS version 21, while content analysis for FGD to identify common themes.Results: The study reveals that 75.1% had no knowledge of breast self-examination at all while only 24.9% had knowledge of what BSE, their sources of information was majorly health Professionals (47.5%), electronic media (21.4%), 76.5% did not practice BSE. Also, about 77% of the respondents expressed one form of barrier or another to BSE practice. Major barriers to the practice of BSE identified are revealed based on these themes: -'knowledge/awareness of BSE', 'practice and appeal for intervention', and 'misconceptions and fear of being diagnosed'. Conclusion: More than half of the participants do not practiced BSE. Some socio demographic significantly influenced the practice of the BSE. Lack of knowledge, not having any symptoms, myths and being afraid of being diagnosed with breast cancer were the main barriers to practicing BSE. There is need to develop a continuous awareness campaign among rural women on the importance of performing BSE.

Monkeypox (MPX) has been declared a public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organization. As of November 4, 2022, 78,000 verified cases from 109 countries and territories, and 40 deaths have been reported due to MPX. The present article highlights salient hospital‐based prevention and control measures to be adopted and their critical role to mitigate the ongoing MPX outbreaks and global public health emergency.
