Die Untersuchung von Prothesen auf deren Gebrauchstauglichkeil und Sicherheit ist seit vieten Jahrzehnten eine Hauptaufgabe der Prüfstelle für orthopädische Hilfsmittel, die an der Technischen Universität Berlin im Fachgebiet Biomedizinische Technik angesiedelt ist. Die Prüfmethoden, die wir für die Untersuchungen anwenden, wurden auf der Basis von wissenschaftlichen Studien entwickelt. Die für die Testreihen notwendigen Prüfmaschinen für Kniegelenke und für Fußpaßteile wurden am Institut selbst entworfen, konstruiert und gebaut. Wir haben sie Im Rahmen vergangener Orthopädie-Kongresse bereits vorgestellt. Diese Prüfmaschinen simulieren alle komplexen Belastungen und Bewegungen beim normalen Gehen, d h., es wird eine sogenannte Betriebsfestigkeitsprüfung durchgeführt, deren Ergebnis Rückschlüsse auf die Benutzungssicherheit, Funktionsfähig-keit und den Verschleiß, also die Haltbarkeit der Prüflinge erlauben. Diese notwendigerweise technisch sehr aufwendig gestalteten Prüf-maschinen mit jeweils 5 servohydraulisch geregelten Kanälen sind in der Herstellung und im Betrieb recht kostspielig und somit zwangsläufig bisher nur wenigen (weltweit 3) Prüfinstitutionen vorbehalten. Um jedoch trotzdem vielen Anwendern. z.B. Herstellern, eine international vergleichbare Prüfmethode für Beinprothesen zur Verfügung zu stellen, wurde im Rahmen der ISO. der Internationalen Organisation für Normung, eine vereinfachte Bauteilprüfung entwikkelt. Die Ursprünge hierfür gehen zurück auf das Jahr 1977. als tinter der Schirmherrschaft der ISPO in Philadelphia. USA. ein erster Konsens über Prüfmethoden und die zugehörigen Prüflasten erreicht wurde. Von 1979 an wurde diese Arbeit von einem Technischen Komitee der ISO mit der Bezeichnung TC 168 Prost helles and Orthotics" weitergeführt bis zur Erstellung des jetzt vorliegenden Normvorschlags ISO 10328. Teil 1-8. der voraussichtlich demnächst veröffentlicht und somit wirksam wird. Die in dieser Norm beschriebenen Prüfmethoden verwenden im Gegensatz zu den erwähnten Simulationen vereinfachte statische und dynamische Festigkeitsprüfungen. Die gewünschten zusammengesetzten Betastungen werden dabei durch Aufbringen einer einzigen Prüfkraft (also 1-kanatig) erreicht. Um nicht den gesamten Gehzyklus nachbilden zu müssen, werden für die dynamischen Tests nur die zwei Abschnitte der höchsten Belastung realisiert. Es sind dies einerseits der Fersenauftritt und andererseits derBallenabstoß. Beide Ereignisse erzeugen In der Prothese eine komplexe Belastung, die sich prinzipiell in folgende Einzelkomponenten zerlegen läßt: • Die Axialkraft In der Größenordnung des normalerweise 1-bis 1,3-fachen Körpergewichtes, je nach Gangdynamik des Trägers. Ihre Wirkrlchlung liegt In erster Näherung In der Verlängerung der Oberschenkellängsachse, . Das anterior-posteriore Bieoemoment. das die Prothese in der Gehrichtung zu biegen versucht. -Das medio-lalerale Biegemomenl. dessen Wirkung eine Durchbiegung senkrecht zur Gehrichtung bewirkt, und schließlich noch -die Torsion, die eine Verdrillung der Prothesenlängsachse...
