Postoperative intraabdominelle Verwachsungen bilden heute nach wie vor ein ernstes chirurgisches Problem. Unziihlige Vorschlgge 6rt-licher und allgemeiner MaBnahmen sind gemacht worden, ohne dab es bisher gelungen wgre, ihrer Herr zu werden. Die Unmenge der vorliegenden mehr oder minder wichtigen Literatur lgBt deshMb eine Neuordnung dringend erforderlich erscheinen.Bei der Beurteflung der postoperativen intraabdominellen Verwaehsungen (VW) mu8 man sich yon vornherein dar/iber im klaren sein, dab es sich bei dem Verwachsungsvorgang stets urn ein v611ig physiologisches Geschehen handelt, dessen Ablauf dem Wundheilungsvorgang mit narbiger Ausheilung entspricht. Diese Tatsache erkli~rt, dab jeglichen VerhfitungsmaBnahmen stets gr6Bte Schwierigkeiten entgegenstehen mfissen. Die Erfahrung, daft postoperative intraabdominelle Verwachsungen sehr unterschiedlich --also mehr oder weniger stark --auftreten, 1/iBt darauf schlieBen, dab zu ihrer Ausbildung mehrere Faktoren zusammentreffen mfissen.Eine konstitutionelle Komponente wird sich dabei nicht leugnen lassen, wenn auch nicht mit Sicherheit gesagt werden kann, ob diese sich mit einem bestimmten Konstitutionstyp deckt. Eine besondere H~tufung beim Astheniker, wie sie NAv-.~A~ behauptet, und auch Schlfisse aus den yon KA~ITSC~IOO beobachteten Parallelen zwischen Ke]oidtr/~gern und besonders starken VW lassen sich heut~e noch keineswegs mit ausreiehender Sicherheit ziehen. Ebenso sind die Mitteilungen yon S~EIEI~SO~ ur~d MAzzr~ fiber die besondere Anfglligkeit der Allergiker ffir VW noch keineswegs erwiesen.Wesentlich ~iir alle 1V[aBnahmen, die der Verhiitung der VW dienen sollen, ist neben der Kl/irung der n~heren Zusammenh~nge vor allen Dingen der Zeitpunkt der ersten Erscbeinungen und die Kenntnis ihres Ablaufes.Jede Sehgdigung des Darmes oder B~uchfelles mechanischer, chemischer oder bakterieller Art ffihrt zu einem Reizzustand und damit zu einer Reaktion des betroffenen Organes.
