We present a case of epidermal cyst affecting left body of the mandible. The reported incidence of epidermal cyst in the oral cavity is 1.6%, with floor of the mouth being the most common site. There are 16 reported cases of epidermal cysts in the mandible; of these four were post-traumatic inclusion cysts. Figure 2 Histology slide: Classical epidermal cyst lining with keratinised squamous epithelium and prominent granular cell layer.Figure 1 CT report:There is a 22 9 18 mm expansile lesion situated in the anterior aspect of the body of the left side of the mandible. It was displacing the neighbouring tooth roots. It has considerably thinned the cortex particularly buccally. The inferior dental canal was displaced inferiorly by the cystic lesion ( Fig S1).Oral Surgery 10 (2017) 171--173.
