RÉSUMÉUne étude statistique menée sur deux groupes d'installation de spectrométrie humaine a permis de montrer que la réduction du temps de comptage de 10 minutes à 2 minutes pour les examens de spectrométrie ne diminue pas de façon signi ficative la précision statistique de ces examens. Il est proposé dans le cadre des examens de surveillance de routine de remplacer l'examen de 10 minutes « trois sondes » par un examen de 2 minutes « trois sondes ».Cette méthode permet de conclure à la non-contamination du sujet examiné : I° par le calcul d'un indice de tri, 20 par l'établissement d'un spectre.

Background: Squash is one of the four most popular racquet sports, practiced by 20 million people worldwide. It is a sport that has been scarcely researched in the area of nutrition, and even less so regarding the dietary habits of its players. The objective of this work is to perform a descriptive and comparative analysis of dietary habits in squash players at the national and international levels. Methodology: A total of 14 international and 28 national players answered a validated food consumption frequency questionnaire. We used a Student´s t-test for independent samples and a χ2 test in the comparative analysis of players of different levels. Results: The results show that there were statistically significant differences between the two groups of players in the consumption of bread (p = 0.016) and nuts (p = 0.008), with a tendency towards statistical significance for eggs (p = 0.064), blue fish (p = 0.057), and white meat (p = 0.069), which the international players consumed with a higher frequency. There were no significant differences in the consumption of fruits, vegetables, or pulses. The two groups had a similar consumption of potatoes, pasta, rice, juices and soft drinks, sweets and snacks, white fish, and red meat. Conclusions: Although it was not possible to estimate the intake and percentage of macronutrients, a possible deficit of carbohydrates and an excess of proteins can be deduced in both groups. In addition, these players do not usually seek advice from dieticians-nutritionists, so the involvement of these professionals in the coaching staff of squash players could improve athletic performance.
D'un nombre important de substances auxquelles un certain pouvoir protecteur contre l'irradiation peut être supposé, un tri méthodique permet d'isoler les pro duits à action radioprotectrice certaine de ceux sans action. La méthodologie de ce tri est succinctement exposée. Aux différents niveaux de tri correspondent des critères qui permettent de décider la poursuite des recherches sur ce produit ou leur abandon. Dans le cas de l'exemple choisi, le C 511 HF, il a été mis en évidence au stade du tri systématique, que le produit avait une bonne probabilité d'être radiopro tecteur; au stade du tri approfondi, niveau FRD létalité, que la radioprotection apportée était confirmée et de l'ordre de celle de l'AET. Ce résultat est recoupé au niveau infralétal par les tests de variation du poids de la rate. A des qualités équivalentes à celles de l'AET en radioprotection, le C 511 HF ajoute l'avan tage d'être atoxique et d'emploi plus aisé. SUMMARY From a great number of substances which are assumed to have a certain protec tive power against radiation, a methodical sorting out permits to isolate the materials with an unquestionable radioprotective action from those which have none. Methodology of this screening is briefly discussed. Each screening level has its own criterion which permits to decide to continue or give up the investigation on the material. As for the substance chosen for testing, the C 511 HF, a good probability of radioprotective action was demonstrated at the stage of systematic screening, while at the stage of thorough screening, lethality level DRF, it was confirmed and appeared to approximate AET. This finding is consistent with experiments on variation of spleen weight.
